Bassong and Kaboul are our only fit centrebacks, but probably will both play.

    --------Gomes

    Walker-Kaboul-Bassong-Rose

    Lennon-Sandro-Livermore-Carroll

    ---------Pav---Dos Santos

Going by Harry's comments this is likely team. Maybe Townsend for Carroll or Livermore. Possibly we could see Livermore drop back into central defence.

Kazan are decent, should be a good runout.

I wonder if we should try a few more first teamers for this one, toughest team in the group. Guess we can see how it's going and bring them off the bench if needed.

Won't be watching/listening as I'll be on my way up to the Bedpan for the NYRB-Union game

I wonder whether Harry will rest Kaboul and play Livermore as a CB (with Luongo taking his place as a DM)... I'm not usually a big fan of playing people out of position like this, but it might be worth the risk, given how much Kaboul has played of late.

Also hope Danny Rose is fit for this one to give Benny a break. Also looking forward to seeing more of young Tom Carroll pulling the strings in midfield. Come on you (B-Team) Spurs!

i'd just as soon not see kaboul play as well - thin enough as it is at CB for league play

Since it's Rubin Kazan we are playing I reckon 'Arry will play a stronger team than usual in the EL. A win tonigt puts us in a comanding position.

Kazan are good side so It will be interesting to see how we fair against them.

if fox sports lineup is correct, its livermore paired with bassong in the back with rose and walker. pav and defoe up top. GDS & lennon on the wings, carroll & sandro in the middle. gomes in goal

    From Spurs FB:

Gomes; Walker, Bassong, Livermore, Rose; Lennon, Carroll, Sandro, Giovani; Defoe, Pavlyuchenko.

And here are our subs tonight - Cudicini, Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul, Falque, Modric, Townsend, Kane. We expect Jake Livermore to partner Seb Bassong in central defence.

Modric was also on the bench against Shamrock, highly unlikely to be used though.

Good start to the game, Sandro winning every tackle in midfield so far.

Shades of Shamrock game so far, not attacking their fullbacks down the wing and getting balls into the box.

Lennon been poor so far, keeps cutting infield or passing back, may need Townsend in the 2nd half to be more direct.

As Sendo said, wouldn't mind seeing Townsend coming on for Lennon.

should be a fair few good streams if you need one, it's only on channel 5 which is free-to-air. Sopcast via livefootballol is usually the best route.

Townsend in the 2nd half would be good, get him running at their defenders. Rubin are a very good passing team in attack but they look slow at the back.
