So right now we 're playing with:
    Morgan, an LB, at Rb.
    Eckersley an RB at CB
    Emory a CB at RB.

Well, well, well. A late goal that burns TFC (again).

Kocic needs some time out of goal, he hasn't been the same since the win in NE and seems tentative and uneasy. Freddy Hall looked comfortable in his exhibition appearance with Liverpool and should probably get a look in net.

granted, it was a moronic thing for Weideman to do which led to the goal, but i put it on Mariner because scrubs like Weideman and Emory should be playing reserve games at best. Hassli and O'Dea are promising signings but it's meaningless if you throw a few clowns into the starting XI with them. perhaps we should tap into our Academy rather than signing and playing proven garbage.

Morgan and Eckersley are dynamic wingbacks, playing people needlessly out of position is unjustifiable. put Henry with O'Dea and sign one proven CB in the off season. problem immediately solved...does it really have to be so difficult? he'll probably sign us a holding MF from British Virgin Islands.

They're also getting pretty boring to watch. Hoof the ball up and hope for the best. We're averaging less than 40 per cent possession per game. Today the game went soemthing like this. KC with the ball, they bring ball down , Toronto gets possession in the box.

Kocic kicks the ball up...right to KC player. Rinse, lather repeat.

This had my head shaking at the match.

Not only did that sub/switch lead to us to having 3 defensive players out of "natural" position....it removed one of our most effective offensive weapons.......Morgan's darts up the flank and sharply hit balls into the box. Playing his off wing he doesn't (can't) attempt them.

I'va said this many times and I'll say it again. I dont get what mariner sees in emory. Even more so playing out of position. Silva also looked like his head was elsewhere.

On the positive, i'm liking hassli more and more each game

From what I understand, Amarikwa didn't like an apparent foul (might have been handball) against him, so after saying something to the referee about it, the referee showed him a straight red card.

Afterwards, the referee turned to the TFC bench and apparently stated that he made a mistake, as in he wanted to give Amarikwa a yellow card instead, which is what he eventually got.

What happened was that Amirakwa yelled something bad in the referee's direction. The ref pulled out the red card. Then A. explained to the ref that he was swearing at the player behind the ref not AT the ref, so the ref rescinded the card.

That is what it appeared to be from my seat......which just made me lose a bit of respect for the official. The ref just said, with that action, "abuse and lack of respect on the pitch is ok as long as it is not directed at an official." If what he said warranted a straight red if directed at a ref.....does it not also warrant a straight red if directed at an opposing player?

The next time a player gets a red for yelling at a ref "You dirty cheating $(*%&@" he should just say "not you, him!"
