During the Seattle @ Philadelphia game on Sunday, ESPN advertised this game starting at the special time of 5:00 PM EST. However, I haven't been able to confirm that info anywhere else online. I assume that was a mistake? In any case, looking forward to watching this one on ESPN2.

Maybe TFC has been sanctioned for streamers and are playing in front of a closed stadium as otherwise, we'll all be showing up for 7. :D

TFC's website has the game listed as a 7 pm EST start time.
TV Guide has the same 7 pm EST start time.

Most likely an error in ESPN's part. However, ESPN's website also has the game listed as a 7 pm EST start.

Happy Canada Day from an American. Scoreless in our last 3 games is not a good look. DeRo and Barrett with 1 each. TFC wins 2-1

Do we get a tax credit for fielding this old man Garcia? I thought the red card was enough for Preki to stop playing this asshole.

If you're in as deep as Barrett was, you gotta take that shot. Barrett held on to the ball too long.

I really have no idea why TFC is being tentative with their shots. They shouldn't try to be fancy with it. Just get the shot.

Sooner or later, TFC is gonna get burned by this.

The theme of this match is missed opportunities. TFC had a good number of chances to open the scoring, but were either tentative or missed altogether.

Something happened to this team during the World Cup break. Not sure why they're being this tentative.

Outside of that, it appears TFC is the more dominant of the two. However, as mentioned, if they get an open shot, they can't be fancy with the ball.

    0-0 at halftime.

OK, one change for TFC at halftime. White now in for Peterson. DeRo likely dropped back to the midfield.

Sanyang didn't really deserve that yellow card he just got. Looked like a clean tackle.

Wow. TFC just dodged a bullet there. Mullan looked to have scored to put Houston up 1-0, but the offside flag went up.

Nice hip check by Garcia on Cruz, but in this sport, that gets you a yellow card.

A scuffle breaks out right in front of the supporters groups. Looks like Attakora and Ngwenya are getting red cards.

No! De Guzman got the red for TFC! WTF? He didn't do anything. It was Attakora who grabbed Ngwenya's throat.

Attakora only gets a yellow out of that.

Either way, both sides down to 10 men.

Yup. Just like I said, missed chances would come back to burn TFC, and it did. Ching puts home a header off a corner kick to make it 1-0 Houston.

Another scuffle, this time in the Houston 18. Sanyang gets his second yellow, which becomes a red card.

Cochrane gets a yellow for Houston.

    And that's it.

What could have been a disastrous endiing for TFC in this match was salvaged by Gargan's late equalizer.

But you have to wonder... if TFC had been aggressive with their shot decisions, especially in the first 45, they could have walked out with max points. Instead, they only get one.

The match got chippy in the second half, as there were scuffles at both ends of the field. de Guzman and Sanyang are lost to TFC for their next league match against Colorado. de Guzman really didn't deserve the red, as Attakora was clearly the guilty party, but he only got a yellow. Attakora owes de Guzman one now.

It's a nine-day break for TFC as they finish up the homestand next week against Colorado.

    1-1 is your final.

Well, Saric will get his opportunity to in the next match. He must have been healthy enough for this one because he was on the subs' bench. Considering how dodgy Sanyang's play with the ball was last week he still got the start today.

The Latvian LB didn't make the dress list for this evening (injury? illness? out of favour?), Garcia maintaining his place.
