F. Hall; J. Hall, Eckersley, O'Dea, Emory; Wiedeman, Dunfield, Maund, Johnson; Silva, Amarikwa you could find a better starting XI in a beer league.
THAT's the lineup they're putting out against arguably the top team in the league? Remind me again why I'm still watching this team? I'm going to need some more alcohol for this one.
I'm guessing that even Atlantic has stopped caring because he hasn't come out with the starting lineups yet.
This is gonna be a gem of a game. I'm already 15 beer deep and can't wait to chastize the shit out of this game. Kocic still ridin the pine over johnny smiles and we got a beer league squad goin on. Can't wait for this gem.
Now I no why hall is starting. Mariner wanted a bigger gun so he could play route one directly into the other teams net via our 18 yard box. Hall has a cannon of a foot
I used to think Lenhart had the worst hair in MLS, but I'm now thinking Espinosa might have him beat.
I'll say this, the goal differential is about 3 off from where I thought it would be at this point in the game.
Doesn't sound like too many were interested in this game. Here's a summary for those who missed it: TFC started essentially a B-squad and did not make a substitution the entire game. The highlights will probably show that TFC actually looked pretty good, but really they were outplayed for most of the game and managed to get a few good chances on net. KC's two goals were both flukey. Dunfield will miss next game due to yellow card accumulation.
Mid game interview with mariner: 1. Frings has been having hip problems for a while 2. Lots of tests with docs here and in Germany 3. He is now in Germany seeing doctors 4. While it was not said he has been shutdown for this year, the words "get fit and healthy for next year" were used. So, do we enter 2013 with 3 DPs with, both, age and health issues?
I don't know what kind of hip problems he is experiencing but I used to play soccer and was athletic enough to dunk a basketball even as a white guy at 6'2". The one thing I can say that I started experiencing was sharp pain in my left hip. I reached a point where I could only jog for 15 minutes before the pain would take over and I could barely walk. The cause of this pain was a herniated disc L4/L5 that was pinching nerves in my spine. I had an operation and I was normal for another 10 years, even returning to play soccer again and skiing, then it ruptured again and I had to have a 2nd operation. Now I can walk normally and function normally but I am not 100% and probably never will be again. I don't jog because the bouncing up and down would cause me to have discomfort again the next day. So now I live day to day trying not to do anything stupid that could effect my back as that disc is degenerating to the point of not being effective to absorb jolts. Anyway, wondering if Torsten is having the same kind of problems. The pain I could describe as someone driving a long needle straight into your hip from the side to where the leg meets the torso.
