For the love of God, sit everyone for this game. There's only three more games that matter this season.

    OK, here's TFC's starting XI:

On the bench: Kocic, Cann, Williams, Morgan, Avila.

Kinda obvious that TFC has waved the white flag on this season and now concentrating on the CCL.

Christ, our squad is thin. I hear Hassli is out with back spasms. Frings being rested.

It's a league rule that players are rested when they collect enough yellows ;)

I don't think that luck will suffice for us... for us to get anything out of this match will require divine intervention.

Perhaps.....but what we have is a natural CB that if he was playing tonight would allow Eck to, either, play RB or, preferably, rest for Tuesday.

well yea, but positioning aside, he definitely hasn't seen the man play this year, over valuing him huge. In other news (4-3-3) 1 - (4-4-2) 0

Sure.....but if you think this game's result is all about tactics.....you are vastly overrating TFC's talent.

To have a chance against this particular 4-3-3.....TFC would need permission to play a 2-4-4-2 IMHO.

No I'm referring to the degression of going from a prospective, attractive possession style to plymouth route 1. And making a mockery of how the way our team going forward is the future, when Houston and KC are the worst teams in the league and are sieves at home...... Actually I am a complete pessimist of our teams talent and they severely lack any kind of decision making or off ball movement. Might be why mariner has knocked the difficulty of the puzzle down for the players but he's made no effort to bring in any technical players or players that are up to par.

The one common denominator of every version of TFC over these first 6 years has been a complete lack of off ball movement. We have never (no matter the system employed) had it and that is why I find all the discussion of systems kinda funny......no matter how you line 'em up......no matter who is on the sidelines.....they have to move off the ball to be effective.

It's funny you say that because our best ball movement came when we had to play with 10 men under Winter. It was quite baffling, but hey, this team is baffling.

Real Salt lake is the same way, they can hold the ball for 90 minutes with 10 guys

FFS how many chances do we need to score? Houston is making careless mistake after careless mistake but we're letting them off the hook.

Holy crap, what a turn of events! Some team conceded a late equalizer and it wasn't TFC!

Emory is an overall nightmare, Hall defensively incapable, though worth it for CCL rest. frustrating, but not the frustrating & unwatchable type of game we've seen lately.

It's nice that it was the other team that had absolutely criminal defending. Three TFC players were wide open waiting for the cross and Dunfield was the one who headed it in. Two late headers for Dunfield now. How does he do it?
The bad part is I think by now we know Avila is probably going to be gone as soon as Mariner can get him out, which is a shame. But even when Mariner wanted to play with some reserves he didnt give Avila a chance. Again, huge shame, but Mariner's the boss now and he thinks Wiedeman and Maund are better than Avila. So...yeah.
At least we're rested for Santos
