But by that reasoning anytime Mexico has trailed in a game they have been close to an Aztecaso... When US played Argentina in Copa America and EJ scored a PK early in the game, can we say they were close to upseting them? Even though Arg. got their act together and went on to drop 4 on them? ofcourse not. I saw the game and honestly Honduras gave it their all and did everything they could but Mexico had clear control of the field and it was all honduras could do to keep Mexico off them. The result was a just result and probably should have been one more goal in favor of Mexico. maybe it depends on your point of view but to me a Aztecaso or a near Aztecaso would be 1) a Loss 2) Getting outplayed in a tie 3) Getting completely outplayed only to win it on some 15 minutes of genius to me Honduras did not outplay Mexico in Mexico city so it doesn't fit the category.

Thing is that these games are Mexico's to lose. It's a win win for teams like el Salvador, especially El Salvador. They never make the WC. If they win against Mexico it's a HUGE deal but if Mexico beats them it means nothing. When they lose to us they shrug it off and say "well at least we tried and made it to the WC once."

This is a question to all the Mexicans out there. What's up with the Mexican press? I was watching Galavision and Univision and its amazing the level of detail and minutia these guys go into: Is the president's visit bad or good for the team? Are they eating right? Did Nery's have sex on Tuesday and is that bad for the team? seriously don't these guys have better things to do? It was a freaking one hour show where they discussed nothing what so ever of importance.
