Pre/In/Post-game: Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Puerto Rico Islanders 7/21 7:30pm EST

Every game is a must-win game, but it cannot be overstated with this one. We're only 2 points behind 1st place in the standings and a win versus Puerto Rico on Saturday will help boost our chances of finishing the regular season on top!

 

This game is just the first of many upcoming that are vital if we want a first round bye or at the very least a first round home game in the playoffs.

We just don't get many results against Puerto Rico, but you have to like our chances at the moment. I'll be disappointed if we don't at least draw but I really feel we can win this as long as we finish our chances and as long as Jeff plays his usual solid keeper role.

 

Everybody,let's try and bring somebody new this saturday. Let's build on our good turnout from the 4th of July game.

 

big win. We had only defeated the Islanders once before tonight. Now we sit alone in second place and playing the best soccer in this league.

How the Scorpions are still top of the table I have no idea, but we are coming for them!

 

This team is certainly coming together in the stretch. Hopefully we can ride this form the rest of the way. Ricky Hill has taken is knocks from various supporters (including me) but maybe his patience with playing the same guys essentially has panned out. The few changes he has made seemed to have been successful. Helps that the team has been relatively healthy so far as well.

What I really like about this team is that we have gotten to the point where we are not seeing a dip in form when someone is out. Yoshitake wasn't in there last night and the team doesn't miss a beat. Of course it helps when my former whipping boy Ambersley continues to get better and better. I stand by my harsh words earlier in the season because he want' bringing it like he is now. Honestly, he probably won't ever be my favorite player, but he is getting the job done lately. Probably why Hill is coach and not me

 

They keep winning. But, I agree, we will be ready to even the series with them next month.

What a fun night. The team played great! We also pulled a good crowd despite the crappy weather.

 

And the Rays were playing at the same time. Not that it makes a huge difference, but there ARE people who go to both games.

Hats off RH as well. I have been critical of him, Shane and yoshii and I am being proven incorrect. As long as we keep winning and head to the playoffs, I dont care.
