They have definitely looked better today than at any other point this season so far.

Actually controlling possessions, making some nice passes, and not relying on the long ball every time.

Obviously the defensive miscue is a glaring mistake, but things like that will happen.

He basically had one shot at going to the Olympics, since it's U-23. They just blew it 3 days ago. Of course he's devastated.

we do look better offensively- too bad Dudar let a bad hop/sloppy trap bite us.
Maybe that stiffens the collective defensive effort overall enough to sew up the back, give the offense some confidence to continue forward.
Both Cruz and DeLeon showing us something on how the wings are supposed to work. Who woke up the Wooly mammoth at leftback? Impressive decisions and execution going forward tonight.

Speaking of forward, some one get a note to the chorus that there are many more lyrically complex songs for DC United than stealing the stupid Clementine melody that Chicago used/uses ad infinitum. Even the "Go, United- hey, hey, hey..." and DC United chants are infinitely catchier & more pleasing to the ears.

Hopefully some "Vamos United" breaks out soon, that's by far the league's best melody bar none.

    I agree about DeLeon.

I think he is really showing that he will be a star.

As a neutral observer, I've been impressed with DC United.

You got completely hosed on the FCD goal. Clearly offside despite the deflection. In order for it to "reset" as the announcers were saying, the defender HAS to control it, which he clearly did not do.

Pretty basic stuff and it's a shame it was missed. Enjoying the second half!

The call was crap, but you can't misplay a ball that badly.

Great goal by DeLeon. DCU is pressing hard. I don't know where this team came from. Let's see if we can actually hold a lead at a home and come away with a win.

Looking like a bit of the black blur to goal may be back.
Outstanding goals from our side tonight, and... we need a stone cold fact checker- when was the last time DC United had 2 starting wings both score in a MLS match?

I think Olsen finally found his lineup. If he changes a thing from this match he is out of his mind.

Where is Najar's place on the pitch now? You have to leave DeLeon and Cruz on the wings with as well as they are playing together.

Say what you want about the opponent but 4-1 is still a beat down. Cruz and deLeon put speed on the sides that has been missing. that opened a lot more of the middle and the guys looked great. Top drawer tackle by BMac on Shea. quality win !!!

I actually think Dallas is an above average team. They have a few injuries, but they looked dangerous at times but DC took it right at them. We caused turnovers in the middle third and took advantage of them.
Great job by Willis in the first 10 minutes.
Don't forget in this beat down some of Hartman's big saves and the two shots off the post...
It could have been over well before it was.

Great effort by the team. Willis bails out a shaky back line early, then the offense clicks (even with Salihi clicking quite yet).

On the negative side, that was one of the worst officiating jobs I've seen in a while, both by the center and the quiet side AR. Terrible match management, missed calls, and letting stuff go (Foul on McDonald in front of our goal, elbow to Cruz's head [foul on Cruz], and Uhelmu kicking Pontius in the shin.)

My desire to not get disappointed is outweighing my desire to be optimistic about this result.

    Ah, fuck it.

    Sweet, sweet catharsis!

Olsen deserves some credit for sticking with Santos. He showed up.

Before you can win two in a row, you have to win one in a row. Nice job boys.

Looking forward to see how we play the next game.

Any idea why the game was delayed? There people out on the field taking measurements on the goal when it was supposed to start.

Nick DeLeon is fun to watch - easily MOTM. Our defense had some brain farts early in the game, but then got some composure. I liked how Perry Kitchen looked, too. DeRo isn't doing much for me, but he does fight hard. Nice to see Santos put in a couple. I'm not convinced Salihi is going to amount to anything - just don't see it. I hope Willis is given a chance to retain the starting spot when Hamid comes back.
