Personally, I'm sick of being on ESPN all the time. Any reason why LA, Seattle, or the NY teams are never on TV? The lack of exposure for big markets is holding the league back.
Just might make it down from Toledo with the wife and daughter for this one. Weather looks good. If Meram, Mensah, and Afful are just getting back...i assume they won't start.....maybe Meram comes on in the 70th min or so. I'm expecting something like... -------------------------Steffen------------------------- Jimenez----Abubakar----Williams---Raitala -------------Trapp---------------Abu-------------------- Santos------------Higuain----------------Manneh -----------------------Kamara----------------------------
Hope you can make it to see all the puppers! I could live with this formation, although I prefer Artur over Abu.
I was at the Phillies vs Mets game yesterday at Citi Field. It was Bark in the Park day. There were so many dogs. It was amazing. The Phillies were not amazing. There were losing 10-0 in the 5th inning. It doesn't take a veterinarian to explain that the dogs gave the Mets an incredible home field advantage. Win by 2.
Zusi and Besler are starting for USMNT in Honduras tonight. Didic, Musa, and Saad are also out from KC on national team duty, though they're depth guys. We have Afful, Mensah, and Meram out with their national teams. Everyone played today except for Didic (played on Sept 2.). I can't imagine seeing Zusi on Sunday. Besler could probably go. I wouldn't expect any of our guys to play any more than some late game minutes.
*looks at poll* I see y'all have been partaking heartily in the Sunshine Brigade's special blend. Cheers.
-------------------------Steffen------------------------- Jimenez----Abubakar----Williams---Raitala -------------Trapp---------------Artur -------------------- Santos------------Higuain----------------Manneh -----------------------Kamara---------------------------- If Francis or Afful happen to not play or play sparingly then they may start.
Kansas City pretty much sleep walked through the game with New York last night. To be honest so did New York. I'm not sure how much the mid-week game will hurt KC since they seemed to put in such little effort, and playing on Sunday is one more day of rest than the typical Wednesday - Saturday stuff. But the travel has to have SOME effect, you would think. Blessing and Sinovic came off after 60 or so, but Ferhalber, Opara, and many others played the full 90.
Was watching baseball on the TV and streaming the SKC game. Found myself watching the commercials during baseball rather than focusing on the soccer. I know it was raining and that field is hardly fit for a highschool game, but damn. Neither of those teams were interested in playing a game. Our tenuous hold on a playoff position requires home wins to remain in our grasp. It seems that most of the team is healthy or approaching full health. A nice scrimmage to keep sharp during the time off was played earlier in the week. Time to pretend it's 1996 and kick it into playoff charge overdrive. I'd really hope to see Artur replace Abu. Abu has been pretty decent in his recent starts for sure. Artur brings a defensive tenaciousness that Abu lacks. Have Artur and Santos played together at all yet? Maybe that 15 minute debut for Santos? I'd like to see those 2 get on the same page over the next few games.
