Also I'm going to be at the game Sunday night to watch Overhyped Expansion Team #1 host Overhyped Expansion Team #2, so if any other Crew Floridians - basking in the glow of our 3-2 win over Houston - are going to be at RFK's Little Brother, PM me.
Klute maybe not a starter over Grana but with a long season he is a quality player that will get his shot. Personal opinion on Gall, he isnt up to MLS speed and decision making just yet. For the US U-20(?) he does well but again thats not MLS. There were several players that shined last year under the new coaches and I hope Gall will follow suit. The question is when things will click.
Weird question: anyone have an idea on why this game isn't listed for Direct Kick? I live in Cincinnati(45040), so I'm outside the blackout...
Francis is questionable and Gall is out for this weekend: Who's the backup for Francis on the left? Barson, Klute, Jimenez?
Listening to Soccer Morning and there's a lot of people picking the Crew to play in the final, and Matt Doyle has us winning it. Hopefully it's not too much of a jinx. Definitely ready for this to get started on Saturday! My lineup is pretty similar to Kayak's, but I threw Klute in if Francis can't go. Will be interesting to see what happens with Meram/Steindorsson next week though. I think I would like to see Meram be the impact sub off the bench. Clark Grana--Pogatetz--Parkhurst--Klute Tchani--Trapp Finlay--Higuain--Steindorsson Kamara
MLS Staff Power Rankings has us at #4: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...ankings-week-1-whos-top-start-20th-season-mls
It is so strange to be picked near the top this year. I don't know if I like this feeling of positive expectation. It is so odd. When was the last time the Crew were pre-seaon favorites? 2009?
Everyone not in Crewville is all good feelings towards us because we over performed at the end of last season, sans NE. I'm optimistic, but I'm not feeling that good. I hope Kei starts hot.
I do not see us as a top 4 team unless we get hot in the playoffs. We had a lot of guys with career years last year and although our overall talent is better, I do not see our record being much better than last year.
Per an earlier post, I thought this was Crew Year's Eve, being a new season. Crewsgiving would be the CCL games and our thankfulness and gratitude of being there.
We were looking for a place to watch the match and wondered if there is still a sort of sanctioned "Away match viewing location" by Crew SC like in the past. We have TWC and could watch at home but want to be in a crowd fans but Fourth Street is too crowded.
Tomorrow.#CrewSC at Dynamo. @fadocolumbus.This guy. Bud/Bud Light specials. Be there. pic.twitter.com/kiEQ8PiaVR— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) March 6, 2015 It looks like Fado is doing something. Apologies if that doesn't post correctly, on mobile at the moment.
Fado's is the official gathering for the Crew tomorrow. Fourth Street is also good. Three Legged Mare said they will also be showing it. I'm sure there will be others.
Time to show off some fullback depth. No reason to risk Francis this early if he's iffy, and no way Grana can be fit. -------------------Clark----------------- Jimenez--Parkhurst--Pogatetz--Barson (or maybe Klute) -----------Trapp-----Tchani------------ Finlay-------Higuain-------Steindorsson ----------------Kamara----------------- Bench: Lampson; Klute, Wahl; Saeid, Speas, Schoenfeld Out: Francis, Gall, Meram Unsure who gets the last bench spot, I'd go with either George or Lev-Avri.
Thanks for the info but Fados is sometimes worse than Fourth Street as far as being crowded. Is it posted where each away match "sanctioned" viewing location is?
