41' 3-0 #8 Cho Sohyun(?) backshields at midfield left touch. O'Reilly looms over her like a poncho, causes her to cough ball over line. Tough lessons, but that's why they accepted these matches. 43' 3-0 Korea offside up right touch.
45' 3-0 South Korea pings at midfield, lose it. Morgan picks it up at circle top wide right, shows her speed, as Wambach runs parallel from circle top center ... 45+1' 4-0 Morgan dribbles through box top right, slows down a bit as her shot lane is congested. Continues to 4m 6-right, flicks left outstep under Kim Jungmi across the mouth for Wambach sliding on knees between 2, cannot miss from there. Do we cut octopi in half and throw them?
Thank you raiderD15 for the link. Goal 4 - set up by the outside of Morgan's left boot - some of her greatest goals have been scored with that weapon.
Press will prolly come in for Morgan... The speed of play has been incredible. Morgan and O'Reilly have been in an almost constant sprint since the opening whistle.
HT 4-0. South Korea is missing a bit of physicality to bump us around in either box, as Germany or Canada might. Great halftime commercial for FarmersOnly.com. I thought it was insurance Those kids blew up the AT&T guy's brain!
it's the university system. it works the same why for the nfl. it helps mexico and canada but the usa gets the elites because of compensation and other factors.
I can't help think back to 2003 when we first were really seeing how good Abby could be. She wins the Olympics with an OT header and from there nothing but excellence. She defines what a target forward is (Man or Woman) and she deserves every accolade she's going to get.
Sorry no comprende politics, the university system is very off topic for a gameday thread, but thanks for playing
Actually its 24-- I posted the other before I realized how far from up to date the Fedsite is. Also don't know if there was an assist or two missing, so it could be 23 maybe. At any rate he has to keep starting her till she gets it!
Funny, Jürgen says that's the curse of the USA system. I recall when Germany was #1 they said the same about the women. Popp was going to be the future a couple years ago because she was pro and National so early.
I like having Klingenberg out there. I know O'Hara has been getting much better over the past year, but it's nice to have someone who has played left back before in the left back position.
it applies to the difference between the usa and other nations. go back and look at the what the poster typed.
I like how aggressively the team is playing as a whole. It's nice to see them looking intense from the opening whistle.
46' 4-0 South Korea subs in: - (1 of 6) #21 Yoon Younggeul for GK #1 Kim Jungmi - (2 of 6) #3 Jeong Younga for #4(c) Shim Seoyeon - (3? of 6) #22 Lee Jungeun for LB #5 Lee Sejin -- ? 46' 4-0 USA subs in (1 of 6) #21 Jill Loyden for #1 Hope Solo 48' 4-0 USA subs in (2 of 6) #4 Becky Sauerbrunn for #3 Christie Rampone. #20(=>c) Wambach is now captain. 49' 4-0 USA subs in (3 of 6) #2 Sydney Leroux for #13 Alex Morgan. 52' 4-0 USA subs in (4 of 6) #5 Kelley O'Hara for #22 Meghan Klingenberg. MatchTracker jumped the gun: Sermanni & co. must have passed them a list of scripted subs before he actually made them.
I am annoyed to have gone this long without seeing Press play. Wonder if anybody has ever started so fast only to be iced by the coach?
