Well, my son and I, along with my nephews, went over to watch the Rapids practice today. The scheduled time for practice was 10:00, and they didn't come out till 10:45. Probably quite a few things to talk about. You can conclude what you might from that. Most of the non-starters played a close quarters game against the coaches and keepers. The mood was good. Coach Hankinson invited us to come up close and root for the coaches. About 15 minutes later, the starters came out and stretched. After stretching, they went back inside. That is, all the starters except for Carrieri. He never showed up. I hope his reason for not playing in the overtime was not an injury reason. The mood was definitely not one that looked like a team dissatisfied with their coach, or a coach about to be fired. I did see groups of starters standing around and talking, but that isn't too surprising considering that losing provokes talk. After all, look at all of us. Overall, they seemed pretty upbeat. It is going to be hard to carry that on, though, if they continue to be unable to score.
Borchers, Kingsley, and Garlick were players from last night who chose to play in the game. About 11:45, we left, so there may have been something else going on later, but I think this was mainly a time to stretch, and enjoy some positive camaraderie. I sure do hope things turn around for everybody soon. Let's Start With New England. Last Year, Their Turnaround Started With Us.
    Go Raps!!!!!

    Exactly!!!!

Tell me, Greenie. How close do you think their situation was to the one we are now in. That night, New England looked hideous, a night we might have scored 10 goals. They let their coach go and took off. Could this happen to us, or is there a decided difference between our roster and the roster they had at this time last year? I really have no presumptions, and hope your answer is yes, we could be similar.
Having read Rapidsfan, I didn't see any evidence today that Tim has packed his bobbleheads. I would agree that I didn't see a lot of fire today, players going at each other, it was mostly a bunch of guys having fun, while another bunch talked and stretched. There was no fire, but it was also a lot different environment than I felt the day that Marcus took off for England. Today was a lot more upbeat, just not very competitive.

Well if you wouldn't mind, we could really use a 10-0 ass-kicken. So go tell your players to come with their A game cause we need a new coach too.
The sad part is I'm serious. If we're gonna lose, I'd rather get slaughtered so the problem finally gets addressed.
