the Power beat Penn 5-1 Welsh and Janss each had 2 goals and Pearman the other. http://www.nypower.com/349721.html
woo Hoo! go POWER! 3-0 in the postseason and counting! We all set for the first "Battle of the Twins" now! Bring on the Charge! NEW YORK POWER March 12 -- St. John's U. at Jamaica, N.Y. 4-0 (Sarver, Splaine, Janss, Pearman) March 15 -- Boston at New Haven, Conn. 4-1 (Salisbury, Janss, Splaine, Szyluk) March 22 -- U.S. U-19 at Jamaica, N.Y. (Canceled) March 26 -- Penn State U. at Kings Point, N.Y. 5 1 (Welsh 2, Janns 2, Pearman) March 30 -- Philadelphia at Oakland, N.J.
Yeah, it was Penn State not Penn (or UPenn as we PAers call it). Christie certainly used her familiarity with the team to find holes. That actually will help Paula recognize weaknesses even better. I think for the NYpower the game against the Charge will be the only indication of where they are at for the season. The colleges game don't say much even against a top 10 school like PSU because it is their offseason.
