What this league has done in constructing this Miami team makes me want to not follow the league anymore. I was at the first ever game at the shoe when I was 9 years old. I’ve never had so much disdain towards MLS as I do today.
From the nordecke, he could have moved the wall 4 feet to his right and the ball would have went around it. But fair points Edit: after seeing replay, on TV that wall looked much worse than it did in person
If I was there, my voice would have been more strained than it already is. And the curse words would have been about 37% of my verbiage.
Why are they pretending like anyone but Messi is gonna get MVP when perennial losers Miami make the playoffs after winning the Shield?
Not getting a CAM is going to kill this team. They've got no one willing to play through the midfield. Very easy to defend, even before adding in tentative play from the wingers. The bravery that Nancy stresses isn't there lately.
Our signing game is far worse than our coaching game. They leave holes that other teams can drive through. CAM is a big old hole in the middle.
The more I see the replay of that Busquets challenge, the more unlucky I feel. He definitely gets the ball. There's no question there. If he doesn't, this is an entirely different conversation. But since he did, the question becomes did he make a fair play on the ball, and then the Columbus player gets himself into trouble coming into the path of the challenge, causing him to get cleated? Or did Busquets act recklessly, knowing that player was coming, and he carelessly endangers the safety of the opponent? I think it's the former, but let's not kid ourselves -- if that gets called a red card in real time, that's not getting overturned either. But... Having seen the replay of the disallowed Miami goal again, I'm honestly not sure what the hell they're calling. I'm not convinced that Nagbe doesn't keep everyone on, and even if he doesn't, I don't think the player that was "off" was even involved in the play. And if that goal stands, the subsequent play where the Busquets tackle happens never occurs.
