Seen a bunch of NY Power commercials on TV recently, but not a single Metrostars one.... Did we forget to budget for a marketing department again?
I think it has more to do with the people who co-own the Power. Metros commercials have been reduced to MSG 15 second snippets.
That's really sad. TV commercials would (IMHO) put some casual fan butts in the seats. I thought the commercials from last season were great.
The Power commercials are just plain dorky -- and a couple years old. And the idea of anything bouncing off a tall building in NYC is less than amusing these days. And they play on Long Island, so their identification with the City is tenous at best. And... the list goes on. Why bother?
News12 NJ ran a Metros commericial every morning during the season during their morning/daily news shows from 6:30am to 8am
When will the New Jersey Brigade webpage be updated? I love checking it out and reading the stories, and the pics and videos are great.
The last thing most of you want is another lenghty notice from me. Suffice it to say I've posted before about how MLS and the clubs do have cash. They may not be swimming in it, but they've got it. For some reason, they refuse to spend it on advertising. Whether on TV or in the newspapers. I know you are all loyal die-hard fans of MLS and the MetroStars. Believe me, I appreciate that. Why not bombard them with e-mails asking what is going on with the marketing. They've got to get word out about themselves.
Re: Re: Power Commercials and looks like mr. wisea$$ chimes in again. putting an ad locally on cnn seems like a smart idea to try and get new fans. their ratings i would think are much higher since the war started so i am sure its reaching many potential fans.
