They did, now they've moved back to their ancestral indoor home at the San Diego Sports Arena for the 2012-13 season.

Meh. U-T is rather political. And, frankly, I'm not crazy about the U and the T. Looks like something modified in house by the UT.

I'm a regular customer at the Postal Annex about a half block away. I like that place for what it is. I wish they'd come on board as a sponsor (especially of a hypothetical SD team). They're actually headquartered here, according to wikipedia.

I like blue and orange, though. IIRC, those were R.I. Stingrays colors. They had some nice kits.

    the Logo changed.
It used to be "Sign On San Diego" (orange, blue in some circly shape)
it seems that particular media merged/rebranded or whatever.

edit: found a small image of it

Regardless, no team should have anything to do with the UT. Colors or style wise. The UT is nothing but a mouthpiece for Doug Manchester.

Of all the names I have heard, I think "San Diego Destroyers" was the best. Like its inclusion into the Naval history of San Diego. I can imagine a crest like this:

You know what would make it cooler. If the ship used the actual design of the Arleigh-Burke Class Destroyer. And then over the course of the team's history as the navy introduces new designs the crest could be updated to include the newest destroyers.

Here's an idea I have for a rebranded Chivas USA in San Diego. I know this is a long shot. But who knows, perhaps if Carlos Slim is still in the picture (rumored that he needs to sell his interest in Pachuca and Leon before buying Chivas). Anyway if this was to happen, I could San Diego as a landing place for Chivas USA. My scenario calls for a rebranding to 'San Diego Toros FC' and using the colors for the City of San Diego.

While we're waiting indefinitely for MLS. Anyone want to hazard a guess what a Real San Diego logo and/or kit would look like in USL if that rumor comes to pass?

You think RSL would partner with the Flash owners and utilize the old A-League name and logo? I suppose anything is possible...

Just speculating based on the "big announcement" teaser from the Flash. Of course, it could just be something like they've scored a 10% discount at the Panera Bread near Del Norte High School. #growthegame

I think their announcement was that they've started a charity arm for youth soccer.
