Brazil ( specially after the help of the referee)
Honduras ( too arrogant in CONCACAF and they eliminated Canada )
Spain ( I get bored watching them playing)
Colombia ( big rivalry with Venezuela )

 

For:

1. USA - born and raised
2. Italy - Roma-bias, follow the league and NT players a lot
3. Uruguay - my WC2010 team after USA got knocked out. Cavani, Forlan, Suarez.
4. England - Arsenal-bias, same as Italy
5. Bosnia - first WC, war-torn before, would love to see them win as huge underdogs

Dislike:

1. Mexico - it's Mexico
2. Brazil - hating the ref bias in their favor, which is gigantic so far this WC and last year's Confed Cup.
3. Argentina - I just want to see Messi fail so people stop thinking he's as badass as Maradona
4. Ghana - if they succeed, then the US has failed for a 3rd straight time against them
5. Spain - tiki taka is boring to me, can't watch most of Spain's games

USA - I was born in the USA..Im not a hater like most people here. I know they are the Mexican rivals but I will always root for the concacaf teams.
Costa Rica- they are a concacaf team, they have cute uniforms
Honduras-They are a concacaf team and when I was 18 I used to bang this smoking hot Honduran chick at work during my break.
Brazil-Their women have nice butts

Mexico: Duh.
Holland: They always play good, and I liked the Orange uniforms since I was a kid.
Italy: Hard not to love Pirlo and Buffon.
Colombia: They've been through alot. I'm glad finally made it to a world cup again. Alot of their players are in Liga MX.
Japan: I like the way they play, during the last WC and the confederations. They disappointed me so far this tournament though.


Against:
USA: Common sense really.
Honduras: Their shitty football and what happened in the hex.
Costa Rica: ^
Argentina: Last two world cups
Uruguay: Suarez, Last world cup, last copa america

England, im english, although I dont care too much for the national team.
Germany, I like the way they play, have total respect for them.
holland, they should have been world champions long ago. Entertaining to watch.

Dislike
Italy, people mostly hate england because of the english media, but if only people could speak italian!, they used to have the greatest players in the mid 90s in their league, yet still bored the crap out of ppl, italia 90 was the worst world cup ever. They are anti football and the most boring national team ever.
Uruguay, mainly because of saurez and dirty players.
Portugal, used to like portugal until c. Ronaldos wink. When he goes, I might like them again. Players dive too much.
Argentina, theyre argentina.

If Italy are the most boring national team ever, and they cheerfully beat England 2-1, what does that make England?

Yes and No I like some of their players and some cool fans, but then again there are some fans that are also disgusting. They are close to replace Honduras in my list though

Mostly those 4. Those are the only ones i want to see losing no matter how well they might be playing.

 

Like:
- The Netherlands : home country
- Belgium : Neighbors, happy to see them back at the WC and hope they do well
- Germany : Fantastic generation of players with style and pace
- Costa Rica : I like outsiders. Before the WC started I never heard of them at they surprised me most
- Australia : Played well, deserved more I think. Great spirit.

Disliked:
- Brazil : I just don't like home teams and Brazil is not what Brazil used to be in the past.
- Portugal : We have a terrible track record against them including one of the most nasty played matches ever.
- Spain : Its is time to move on, simple, time for a new generation (and tiki-taka V2.)
- Honduras : I like to see some offensive style and flair
- Greece : same as Honduras

 

For:
1. Germany (like the BIG BAD MACHINE)
2. Netherlands (too much talent for the nation that has never won)
3. France (that escape against my Ukraine better be good for something)
4. England (like the physicality)
5. Switzerland (Displine and order)

1. Argentina (hate them fakers and cheaters)

I hate Mexico in qualifying, but then I support all the NA/Carrib teams.

 

Just wanted to revisit this thread and see how my teams are doing.

team i liked:
USA - Did very well to get 4 pts vs ghana and portugal and only lose by 1 goal to germany to get second place in the group of death, big game vs belgium coming up i believe
Iran - showed a capable defense in first two games. highlight of their world cup was a narrow loss to mexico that they could have won. disappointing loss in final game
England - stunk it up in the group of champions
Germany - looked great in winning the group of death. real contenders to win it all.
Ivory Coast - looked good at moments but wasn't good enough in the end. real shame to see them eliminated early once again. drogba's last world cup same result

teams i disliked:
Ghana - eliminated by usa and germany hell yea
Portugal - eliminated by usa and germany hell yea
Switzerland - second place in an easy group, I don't see them getting past argentina
Greece - Advanced at the expense of Ivory Coast, I wasn't thrilled about that. I'ld be upset if they knocked out costa rica, but no way they get by the dutch if they make it that far ever
Mexico - just got eliminated by netherlands in a thriller. almost won. Mexico made their country proud in this world cup i think, sad to see them go
