It is confirmed via the Red Bulls' Twitter feed that Amando Moreno is the player included in the trade with Chicago. He's developed into a halfway decent player but I'm not sure he would have had a clear path to the first team with NY. As always the mantra is up or out.
Rounds 3 & 4: #70, Rashid Nuhu, Goalie, Fordham #78, Sean McSherry, Midfielder, Princeton #84, Joey Piatczyc, Midfielder, West Virginia Three more drafted

They have been doing this for 40 yrs that I know of. Croyf, Van Basten, Bergkamp...on and on. All from Ajax and all for sale. That's how you stay relevant for so long, develop and sell successfully. Not a bad way to run your business and MLS should follow a model that works. I don't think the buying of over the hill or untested forgein talent is really the best, although it fills the ranks and may help the level, but running quality academies is a great way to go.
Somebody please explain to me what the hell is going on with the Kaku saga. Apparently Club America wants him and he wants Club America. How do the Red Bulls end up in the middle getting slapped around?
Idk but I won't shed a tear if he leaves. As long as we do as well or better with a replacement creative attacking mid.
I don't want to start a separate thread, so I'll just say it here, Tyler Adams was a man amongst men yesterday. 19 years old and he slots right into a #6 role for a Bundesliga club in his first match. I've got to say that is impressive.
Whoa, we open our season Saturday 4:30 at Crew. Where did the off-season go??? I was going to start at 2019 Season thread but then I noticed that @kokoplus10 has a bit of a tradition doing this, so maybe they'd want to step up again? The most pressing question I have is whether this match is on TV and if so which channel? And less pressing but even more important is whether MSG is going to keep broadcasting NYRB this year.
https://www.newyorkredbulls.com/schedule has the schedule. We will be on MSG tomorrow. After a week off from MLS, we will be on Univision on March 16. Our first national TV in English game is April 14 on FS1.
Thanks. Phew, coverage looks similar to last year. Mostly MSG, then FOX, plus a few times on ESPN/Uni.
