It's not a matter of sarcasm, just pointing out he won't be joining the coaching staff. Many were suspecting Cha Du-ri would join Klinsmann but supposedly declined the offer.
not directed at you my friend. didn't want to be misconstrued. mentioning CDR was in ref to all those said rumours that he was going to join JK's staff. But based on Klinsmann's coaching record and history of needing key support staff to get results, whilst often bickering with boards or fed'ns; what would CDR (no offense to him) be able to possibly do to take our programme to the next level. Klinsmann is a recognizable name, but Chung couldn't help himself from meddling. Maybe the result of his FIFA election bid gone wrong. Anyways as you said, what's done is done. He's got to be given a chance to prove himself. Our talent pool is quite good at the moment. In the right hands, we could be molded into a top 20 team.
The biggest draw from this list is the Goalkeeper Coach. Was the GK coach for the German National Team since 2004. Coached the likes of Khan, Neuer, and Ter-Stegen. Hopefully under him the play of GK for Korea improves. Hopefully no more punching balls when it’s not needed.
Aside from Cha Du-ri, I'm more happy to see Michael Kim back on the team. Having a coach who's been by the players side for 4 years is a definite plus, although I wish they could've included Choi Tae-uk as well if that was going to be the case.
