    we would have no future.

    :D:D:D

The German Americans are going to be the ones to keep us relevant for the next 10 years since central America is inevitably getting better.

Scared? Of what exactly? Hamid was left out to dry with a backline that didn't even react when that half shot was taken. He hobbled to get to the second goal ES scored.

Johnson simply made the rookie mistake of trying to catch a dipping ball, when the smart move would've been to parry it out. Charge that to youth, but by no means are either one of these kids lacking in the nets.

Or scared for that matter. Not even close.

I know we're always looking to the next group of saviors after a failure like today, but I genuinely think the players in the U-20 pool will be better then most of the players in this group. Even players like Luis Gil is a higher quality MLS player then some of the players involved in this tournament.

The thing that burns me the most is that the extra time at the end of the game was a direct result of the time added for the blatant, low-class punch to Terrence Boyd's face.

Concacaf needs to suspend the player that did that for the rest of the tournament. It's on film, and it's easy to identify. If they don't, they're complicit to that horrendous act and would be telling the world that they don't care about Fair Play...

Moral of the story: that vaunted American advantage in "athleticism" is well and truly NON-existent! The world has caught up to us and in many cases is now producing better sportsmen (and women), physically and mentally.

The only decent young players ready to make an immediate impact on the senior team. All developed in Germany. It's pathetic.

Like someone else said, we need airbases in Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, and how 'bout Argentina and Brazil for good measure. I see these ads popping up for dating Thai and Filipino women. I'm waiting for ads for hot Brazilian women, then I make my big move! Gotta do something for U.S. Soccer.

I wonder what "setback" is larger for the program? Considering we had some momentum.....Olympics is huge for the program. We are talking #2 tourney. We didn't even make it out of group play. Sad day.

Looking at replay it seems either Okugo or Opara was jogging when he should have been closing their best player.

Holden did the exact opposite and chased the living crap out of Netherlands and fouled in that situation.

Both ended in goals. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

We complain about boot ball, but that is what Brek should have done.

We wanted earlier subs, but Natalie Portman probably got us ahead 3-2 by waiting. He waited too long for the other subs.

The Ref was sheit - but that is no excuse - that is the sheit the Salvadores pull. Referring is abysmal in our continent and everyone knows it. I mean it is farce.

Don't be in that situation to begin with.

Those projections about Gale being a future national teamer were correct..

You have to wonder what a healthy Gale would have provided us in this tournament.

Well, at least we now know that Boyd is a cool cat. I half expected him to Eric Cantona kick somebody after he was waived back on...

REally? We're out becaues the goalie can't catch a ********ing pass from 30 yars out??? ******** me, can't beliee the goaile flubbed that.

Take a look at the replay, he's in front of a weak pass everything going to form and then instead of catching the ball, he ********ing tries to punch the ball? he misses it and it bounces off his hands, almost hits the crossbar and goes in, the ball bounce like 4 yards in front of him too, a very friendly hop?

WTF!!!!!!! Can't believe he let that in? I've never seen a goalie even at when I played in rec leagues do that kind of shit, WTF???

Can't believe we go out with that play, we earned the result, it wasn't even a dangerous shot, I hope he can recover from that shit,I mean I feel bad for him, but he really let us down in a big way. Oh well on to the whatevers. . .

Instead of focusing on big, we should try small technical players who can focus on teamwork.

This is ridiculous. Take a look at the NFL and then tell me of a single country in the world that produces not just a couple, but an entire league full of world class athletes.

What good is that if we don't have the ball?? Sure we dominate most of the Olympics, but in a footballing sense, what good is all that athleticism?

    Can't tell if serious?

We're out because of a lot more than that.
