I was listening to pre-election coverage on NPR, and they did a story on lawyers who were volunteering (or being paid) to be poll-watchers and so on. They interviewed two who had gone to Florida, the Republican courtesy of the RNC, full fare, and the Democrat on his own ticket and taking billable time away from his own practice. I just about drove off the road, I was laughing so hard, when they interviewed the Democrat: It was Garth freakin' Lagerway, former Duke, Raliegh, New Orleans, Hampton Roads, DC United, Kansas City Wizards, Miami Fusion, and Dallas Burn GK, former MLS commentator, and former senior staff of the Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy.
