Re: (Pre-Match) Mexico vs Trinidad & Tobago 6/10/09 U.S.A is next though, If Mex can get a victory that should do the trick. This 2nd half of the hex is gonna prove to be much diff. than the first. With Mexico and Honduras playing 3 of the 5 games at home. And C.R. U.S. and E.S. playing away mostly.
I did not see the game but just by looking at the result I know Mexico must have played bad considering they were in the mythical Azteca. I guess this confirms that there is a crisis in Mexican futbol. We'll see how their GC performance goes. I actually think Nicaragua has a decent chance at beating them now but it's improbable. Panama is gonna give them a hard time.
mexico missed a shitload of opportunities this could have very well ended 6-1 and they would have still looked like shit.
Just like Hugo Sanchez's team. They would create so many scoring opportunities but could never score.

What can you say about this game? Another sh!tty performance by Mexico. Three points are three points, I guess. We'll see where the team is really at when they face the US and having had plenty of games under their belt.
Sorry to say but Mexico is playing like crap, yall could talk all the crap u want about how it shoulda been 6-1 fact is u guys had to hang on to a 2-1 win in the mythical Azteca against a team thats bottom of the standings (even though we're playing better than that stat may say.... Mr. Morado, duno what your problem is lately, u used to be cool, anyways I digress) Yes, your highly rated mexican team actually looked beatable, really minus the 2 goals, even though u guys dominated posession, which was expected, u looked unimpressive and short of ideas in the final third. It was a pity we didnt have Cornel Glen avliable, we could poisoned u on the counter if he was. Really Really unimpressed. As for T&T we played crap too, it was a crappy attack vs a crappy defense and I guess the crappy attack won. Really wish we had a faster striker avliable for the counter, I predict yall go down in the return. cheers.
I re-watched the game we had 17 shots at Ince Looking back at it now our offense needed that performance Even when we beat Costa Rica at Azteca we created only 4 or 5 attempts. I know Costa Rica is better than T&T but the difference of 4/5 to 17 is not just about who you played. The offense as a team unit got better. Now we need to finish those chances, because it could have easily been 4-0 in the first 20 minutes Our defense will get better with Rafa back and hopefully Magallon regains his level of play during the Gold Cup. The Gold Cup will help Torrado and Castro work the CM partnership. They are both used to the altitude so there should be no problem come home qualifer time. I think the team will look better come the next 5 games
could have been 2-2, u cud have lost, "could have" doesnt mean anything, the fact is that even with your 17 shots at goal u scored 2, that equates to a wasteful toothless offense. U guys need to get it together for the US, cuz they can hit u on the counter better than we were able to.
Don't get me wrong it is pathetic finishing and I'm not exactly pleased with the performance. But considering we couldn't even create those chances under Sven I would consider it progress. You can't expect a team to start clicking overnight.
I know it was but we created more in this game Then we did against Jamaica in the semifinal group. No one said anything because we won 3-0. But thats because we had better accuracy and didn't have a brainfart on defense. All these games I've talked about Jamaica and Costa Rica were at home.
It was because Magallon and Rafa were playing... not sure about Rafa but I am sure about Magallon. Magallon + Rafa = Mexico's best defensive strategy
IDK what the hell you are thinking in all honesty, but no mexican is impressed we are far from performing to our level
Ahhh IDK what the hell your point is, wasn't talking to u for one and I'm not surprised that no ones impressed really. What my point was, is that I wasn't impressed, nothing to do with Mexicans being impressed.
