I think it's safe to say that both teams sucked evenly (but it was pouring down, so), and Korea lucked out in the PK.

Btw, the trend continues and I hope Korea doesn't meet Iran again in a QF for a few decades to come :D

Absolutely true. But Setanta (broadband) sucked the worst, because they cut me off during the PK. I never got to see the outcome in "realtime."

Imagine Korea-Japan in the final. Would be nice but i guess that is bad news for Korea. Japan is better in every position.

korea couldnt cross for sh!t... they couldnt take advantage of fast break runs and counterattacks... they couldnt take advantage of the free kicks (which all of the freekicks sucked anus)... but what they did do was to push iran from scoring with the help of Lee woon jae and luck... iran had a few good chances (their individual skill ranks waaaay up higher than korea... korea in front of the goal = headless chickens) but they couldnt score cause of bad luck and LWJ.

all in all, a very tight match but very poor football quality...

Hey treat Iraq as a team with potential!

    Remember they beat up Australia.

Be cautious not to be boastful cause 3 weeks is a lot to change a football team.

    Good luck Korea!

Now we're one step closer to the Trophy!

fck talk about setanta being cut off, my daum stream cut me off right before the pk and throughout the second half.

we already beat iraq though in friendly just before. we should crush them but not get too over confident(at least not the players ;))

Oh Beom-Seok was a world class defender today 8/10

Lee Woon Jae - amazing saves won us the game 10/10

Kim Chi Woo- making me have some faith in our defense 8/10

Kim SS- a little better in natural position but still makes amateur mistakes 6/10

Lee CS- Bad game, didn't really do much, missed a few chances, did come back and help out defense a lot 7/10

Lee DG- bad game, i don't think we should play him, he seems to lack confidence to take on defenders 6/10

JJJ - not too bad, at least willing to make space and run 8/10

Yeom KH - created a lot of chances and took on defenders like butter crosses could have been a little better though 8/10

ah fck it i am going to bed now.

this wasnt really a game that showed wat korea is made of...but at least now they have another chance to show what we are
if we can get it together
defense against iran was really well played(but then again, iran was focused on those long offside passes they they never seemed to figure out...)
pretty sucky how when defense is good...our offense pretty much sucks

Too right. We sucked but this is our B team against Iran's finest so our young ones did well. Iran were technically and physically more superior but they had no passion. Korea played their hearts out today.

Overall I have to praise Lee Woon Jae as the man of the match!

But also Oh Beom Seok got my vote for effort and never giving up.

Oh made a lot of good tackles, especially the one that guy got pass Lee Woon Jae.

Defense did a exceptional job not allowing any good chances.

Sadly our offense needs a lot of work!

Good Job Pim, you kept your promise to the semifinals. And since we got this far, let's go all the way!
