I am wondering what the policy is on post-game tailgating. For some games, my friends and I are able to hang out afterwards undisturbed, but for a couple of other games (like last night), we are almost forced to leave. Last night an officer parked his car next to us and kept saying "Come on people, let's go" over his loudpseaker until we packed up and left. And this was less than 30 minutes after the game ended! There were still people coming out of the tunnel! I understand that they don't want people in the parking lot for hours after the game, but can't we hang out for a little while?
The policy is different every match. Like you say, sometimes we get to hang out for quite a while, other times they are kicking us out rather quickly. There's no consistity. What else would you expect from CSC. (I just realised that this post has 666 in it. What a present for Fathers Day!)
This is a good question and something that needs to be directed up the chain of command to UNITED. The rental cops and sometimes even Metro PD officers enforcing the post game parking lots are arbitrary and often rude and abusive towards the fans. Like everything else at RFK there has never been any consistency and sadly the team is too slow to address the issue until it blows up or becomes a major issue. By some miraculous bout of complete incompetence we continue to fail to get CSC to be CONSISTENT in enforcing stadium rules in the supporters sections. Is this really a surprise outside? Besides, even if the rules are stated, will it make one bit of difference?
Well I'm not sure were you all tailgate, but we had enough time to hang for a little while. But I agree, someone needs to get this the the DCU front office. From what I see before, during and after the game the rent a cops and MPD aren't happy to be there in the first place so they probably want everyone to leave so they can go home.
Just to be the devil's advocate, it is against the law to have open containers outside in the District of Columbia. The fact that the cops let us tailgate at all, either pre or post game, is pretty amazing.
