This story out of Scotland's Sunday Herald suggests that the successors may be butchers out of the Saddam Hussein mold, i.e., not much better than Mr. Axis of Evil himself. At least, that is my take on their story.

No - they're wrong. I have it on good authority that Bush will insist on a one-man-one-vote democratic system. So Iraq will be ruled by Shia, not Sunni, Muslims and will be leaning toward Iran and Hizbollah in ideology.

I think Mike Segroves would be a good man for the job.

No way the USA is gonna spend billions in a war with IRAQ to let one of those guys in power. They'll go in and install a nice puppet regime just like they did in Panama. (I heard Farrakan wants the job)

Maybe that is how GW will get the Democrats on his side -- give the job to Gore. That way, the Decmocrats can set up their own state AND control American interests in the Middle East!

Next time I'll put a smiley in my post ... if I can get a helping hand in how to do it. It was sarcasm, my friend.

Al Gore as a consolation for losing in the 2000 election.

Mr. Cam nominates Joseph Pakovits, that way he can use some of those petrodollars to build his very own socialist utopia.

I'd back veteran comedian Ken Dodd, or Anthony Hopkins :).
