Eddie Pope left the game injured. If Pope is really hurt, Arena will have to replace him on the roster for France. The four alternates are Garcia, Ralston, Mulrooney, and Gibbs.

Mulrooney's injured. He didn't play in San Jose's game against Chicago.

Plus I think Mulrooney is an outside back. Garcia plays either. Not sure about Gibbs, and I don't think I've ever seen Ralston play as a defender.

I'd hate to lose Nick, but at least Zotinca didn't come close to getting carded tonight, so perhaps we go with Zotinca in the back. And of course Diego will be back at some point.

Gotta admit, Garcia made a reluctant believer out of me Saturday in New England. I'd really never watched him play before, but he single-handedly ended more than a couple of goal scoring opportunities for the Revs. The guy's game, especially for a relatively young player, is strictly top shelf (much better IMO than Califf).

Yeah, Gibbs got the call. At least thats what they are saying on the USA boards. Too bad for Nick, good for the team and fans.
