It's quite remarkable that a country of only 10 million people, is able to produce the amount of exports to the elite leagues of the world.

The EPL: Chelsea, ManU, Fulham, Bolton, Everton, Tottenham, Middlesborough
Mourinho, Queiroz, Paulo Ferreira, Ricardo Carvalho, C. Ronaldo, Vaz Te, Boa Morte, Abel Xavier, Nuno Valente, Pedro Mendes

Almost all these guys are regulars too. :)

I am telling you....i think the situation is only going to improve after i experience futebol first hand in the streets of Portugal....i can only dream about the amount of talent would be producing if Portugal had 50 + million people.....I truly believe we would be having the same problems fitting players in like Brasil is having...

The guy has no clue in what he is talking about...

"Fans blamed the loss of Mourinho, as well as key players like Carvalho, Ferreira and Tiago, to Chelsea, and Deco who went to Barcelona, for the club's lacklustre performance since becoming European champions in 2004."

Ferreira of FC Thun scored the opening goal in the game against Arsenal today.

Thun went on to lose 2-1 though. :(

Nelson Ferreira that plays for FC Thun has 23 years and was born in Famalicao. He moved to Switzerland when he was 8 years old.

He says that his father and brother are big Benfica fans (good taste i see :D ), but he is a Porto fan. His biggest dream is to where white and blue.

It sounds more like a nightmare to me, his father has to put him in his place ;)

Nelo Ferreira [FC Thun] [R] Goal against Arsenal

Nelo Ferreira was born in Famalicao, and left with his parents to Switzerland when he was 5, his got a profissional contract until 2007 but his looking at the day when he plays in Portugal, his goal against Arsenal open the doors, on the FC Thun team there is another Portuguese/Swiss Jose Goncalves 19 years old

Miguel scores on his debut vs Andrade's Deportivo. A 10 man Valencia just took the lead 2-1 with his half-volley into the top corner. Also, the other Valencia goal was the result of a PK conceded by Andrade, handball in the box.

EDIT: Sergio levels it up 2-2 minutes later.
