Deportivo La Coruna is a team that I'm sure a lot of us Portuguese will be following this upcoming season. They're becoming like Besiktas...loaded with Portuguese players. But Deportivo are in one of the best leagues in the world, La Liga. Looks like Pizzi is on his way to Deportivo according to most Spanish and Portuguese sites. http://www.record.xl.pt/Futebol/Internacional/interior.aspx?content_id=767293 Pizzi joins Andre Santos, Bruno Gama, Diogo Salomao and Ze Castro.

Pizzi scored the tying goal (PK) in a 3 - 3 away at Valencia, for Coruna. August 26, 2012 He promptly got selected for the NT WC qualifying games (replacing the injured Almeida). Excited to see what he brings to the table.

This may not be the best thread to vent but I don't know where else this may fit. I am someone that believes in nothing without sufficient evidence, however I am at a point now that I am completely convinced that Portugal and in particular Portuguese players are the most hated by in large, over any other country. After watching Man U vs Galatasary today I went to Goal.com to read there player ratings. My god man, I know that site is a joke but they gave Nani a 2.5/5. I might be viewed as bias because of my name but I assure you if you watched that game he was easily there 2nd maybe 3rd best player on the pitch, alongside Carrick and Kagawa and perhaps rivaled by Valencia. He missed a penalty sure, but how does that impact the other 90 minutes he played. Before the Euro I read a ton of annalist predictions and of course kept my eye on bigsoccer and It truly seems to me like if a player is Portuguese they will be picked on and or ignored for any thing of value they might have brought to the game/season. Ignorance for Portuguese soccer is huge, don't believe me? just start looking up player reviews after every game where a Portuguese player is featured or predictions for international matches or even how the Portuguese teams are rated in Europe, not by Uefa but by the people. Anyway enough of that, I just can't figure out the cause of this.
