Why would he want to drop Champions League Football, being part of a big team in the country to a team who arent even in the Uefa cup and potentially face Relegation and have no hope of anything?

Agree'd. He won't go for Bolton. I could very much see him going to Manchester City though. A fair amount of Portuguese speaker already there, they are a club that is undoubtbly growing in reputation and status...

Yeah, but Kompany would slide into the back four. He's a CB by trade.
Veloso should go to Man City if he's given the chance to.

Agree'd. It would benefit him and Portugal. If hes good enough to adapt to the speed and quickness of the game, it would be good for both his career and the NT. If not, bring on Adrien Silva.

Nice! First team football > Reserve team football
Palace are near the bottom of the table, perhaps he's talented enough to start.

Because he is an idiot and should of never left Guimaraes. Imagine if he had stayed at Vitoria he would be on the Portugal NT. Instead he went to Inter, did a really good job, Mourinho comes benchs him and then he goes to FCP where there manager is against using younger players and loans them to a relegation team called Pompey lol that is why.

He messed up his career bad. Hopefully he gets his head out of his ass. Romours about Braga wanting him on loan in exchange for Andres Madrid but he " THINKS" he is too good for us.

anyway in a couple years he'll be at a team like Naval or if he is lucky Maritimo.

Hmmm, I don't know about all that. I keep hearing rumors that he was an absolute party animal when he returned to his hometown of Porto.

Him going to Braga is really interesting. I think it would be a rather huge signing for Braga and would benefit both parties. The move to Portsmouth is only a loan deal, so he will be returning to Portugal come July, I suppose it just depends for which team.

I am not sure if he IS or IS NOT a party animal. The only thing that was mentioned in the press is he came back to Porto around his birthday and stayed out late partying, how many 20 year olds don't? But whatever its a shame if this kid doesn't turn this around because he seemed to have some real potential.

not really I rate our player Stelvio much better. AC Milan made a 3M Euro bid after his game last year against Sporting and we turned it down. He was an early bloomer and notmuch more. I hope he does better but three clubs in 1 and the half seasons!!! that crazy go back to Guimaraes and then well see what happens. Pompey are in shambles they are F**ked. Porto don't care about him anyway they could careless about him he is just another player.Look at what Porto did to Paulo Machado, Vierinha, Helder Barbosa and Ivanildo they are all screwed only Machado has done well.Next player Porto are gonna ruin is Rabiola and Candeias. Porto are a horrible team how many Portuguese talents have they distroyed????

Alot.Thank god Paulo Machado left but Saint Ettiene can't afford him so what happens next porto loan him to a team, like maritimo and that is the last we hear about them

St Etienne bought Machado, he's a good little player he may come of age yet he has a nice passing range.

Thats a good pickup for St. Etiene. He is a player in development, and personally, I think Porto let him for a too little. Should have asked for 5 M.
