Great. Can you recommend any portuguese metal bands then? Preferably with portuguese lyrics. I like mostly melodic metal/neo-classical and some progressive stuff. No growling though, unless used very infrequent.

Watch the video Allstar Project - V5 (A Space Odissey), it's in the list. They have a similar style to Mogwai and Explosions in the Sky. From the first list posted by DA, Blasted Mechanism, Mão Morta, The AllStar Project and Linda Martini are (for me) the best. Some videos from Moonspell I couldn't see, as I need to log in on youtube but some of them are pretty scary. Thanks.
