Wow, looks like this year's Cup is going to go to Porto.

    Here are the scores:

    Sporting 0-1 Naval
    Pacos Ferreira 2-1 Vitoria Setubal
    Uniao Leiria 3-1 Academica
    Porto 7-0 Varzim

Very interesting... Sporting loses to a lower division team, while Porto hammers Varzim. Porto looks set to win the double.

Sporting would be very disappointed with the loss (second division team!! who are they anyway?) although it does make in some respects a more interesting cup.

Only Pacos Ferreira and Uniao Leiria present any real challenge to Porto and a week one at that.

Both Leiria and Pacos Ferreira are having decent seasons, but with any luck Porto will draw Naval. Maybe Naval will knowck them out too? HaHa yeah right.

Porto is so dominant this year.

It should make thing interesting in the semifinals though. The winner of the Cup gets into the UEFA Cup. Obviously, Porto's going to the Champions League next year, so then the runner up would get the slot. Naval could have another situation like Leixoes this year, being a lower division team playing in Europe. I think Leixoes got to at least the second round too.

Yeh they did, they defeted Belasica (top of macedonian league) 4-3 on aggregate. Then lost 5-3 on aggregate to PAOK. Extraordinary for a team in one of the lowest Portuguese divisions.
