hello everybody , 1-3-2006 : Saudi Arabia Vs. Portugal in RIYADH, Saudi Arabia confirmed in fifa website ..... is this match right ? what's your opinion Portugese fans ? I would like to watch DECO , C RONALDO , LUIS FIGO , PAULETA....... etc here in Saudi Arabia thank you
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly fpf.pt states a game is to be played on that date, but there is no team listed as of yet - i guess there's a good chance it could be saudia arabia, especially if it's on the fifa site
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly Very interesting, I've been wanting to see how Portugal would fair vs a middle eastern team. Wait a minute Saudi's wear all Green! So clever ass Nike will debut the all red Portugal kits having people believe that we aren't wearing green shorts just out of respect for our hosts. I smell conspiracy by the FPF.
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly lol......Saudi Arabia is in the world cup. I dont know if we could score 8 goals.lol
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly Why are we going to play in Saudi Arabia? A good preparation for both would be on european soil considering that the WC is going to be held in Germany. Hmm...wasn't in their capital that the portuguese U-21 won their first title of world champions?
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly Yes! and Portugal dosen't get to see the world as much as they once did....when they were discovering it for the rest of Europe.
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly ?? I believe we're playing Tunisia in March, might be the game between that and the warm-up game with Luxembourg...
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly I don't know why the FPF shrouds the adversaries of friendlies in such secrecy. Why not let everyone know who they're facing against ahead of time instead of making us all play a guessing game?
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly Yes, that is why I posted. It's been in our media that we will play Tunisia on the March date. http://www.soccertravel.com/search.php?which=location&what=country&location=Tunisia Also note that he posted this just a few days ago: "Fifa has confirmed a friendly match between Saudi Arabia & Serbia Montnegro in 1-3-2006"
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly A couple of days ago the fifa site stated that we are playing Costa Rica on the 1st of March.
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly Nope it has been changed to the Saudi's http://www.fifa.com/en/mens/fixtures/index/0,3721,0-POR-ALL,00.html
it is confirmed Portugal will play their first warm up match against Saudi Arabia on march 1st , the match will be played on German soil, i think the city of Dusseldorf ?? i think this match will benefit both sides, especially Portugal will face Iran another west asian team in the finals, Saudi will surely get a lot of benefit from a strong team like portugal to get enough stregth to play Spain in the finals good luck for both sides my opinion ; Portugal 5-0 Saudi Arabia thank you
Re: Saudi Arabia & Portugal friendly Yeah, Maybe Dusseldorf... and maybe we an win by a lot of goals, but it would be great if you made some dificulties... oh man... I'am remmenbering of POrtugal 0-4 Finland, in Bessa Stadium You know... friendly matches are always friendly matches, there are not points to divide!
Re: Saudi Arabia & Portugal friendly saudi arabia 1-1 Greece friendly match. Zagorakis scored for Greece. Oh I think in the Finland game we scored a goal 4-1 not 4-0 Lets hope we never see that result again.
Re: Saudi Arabia & Portugal friendly Im glad were playing a world cup calibre team in a friendly for once. Ive been following saudi arabia since wc94 and this is a better test for us than luxembourg, lichtenstien etc. We tend to not play that well in friendlies, but at least we can try out some younger players in that time (who knows, maybe almeida, moutinho, dare i say vaz te??)
Re: Saudi Arabia & Portugal friendly Sergio Conceicao scored our only goal. Forsell and Litmanen were the mans of the match.....
Re: Saudi Arabia & Portugal friendly I was there in that day...the only time I saw Portugal playing live......everytime people mention that game the only thing that comes across my mind is Frechaut running like a nuts trying to stop a finnish from crossing....and ends up tackling the commercial placard at a very high speed.....
Re: Saudi Arabia & Portugal friendly Frechaut ...lol his stock declined considerably... his best days was with boavista i heard he went to braga. not a nt calibre player atm, even considering our limited LB options
Re: Portugal & Saudi Arabia friendly May 28, 2006 - TBD, Portugal Men's International Friendly: Portugal vs. Cape Verde Islands Sooccer Travel says we play Cape Verde Islands on May 28?
