I had coronavirus back in about April. its not a big deal, I had a bit of a runny nose and that's it. I also have Asthma. I am originally from the North of Portugal, so I like to not complain and just get on with it. That is how everyone should be. Only people from south of lisbon seem to be worried about this. With or without Ronaldo, we should really beat Sweden easily. I would like to see Andre Silva start now.
Bernardo Silva has been crap lately. Since Ronaldo is out, how about a 4-4-2? -----------------------------Patricio--------------------- Semedo---------PEPE-----Dias------------Cancelo--- -----------------------------Danilo--------------------------------- ------------------Oliveira-----------Sanches------------------ ----------------------------B. Fernandes----------------- -----------------Felix------------------Andre Silva
------........Patrício----- Semedo---Pepe---Dias---Guereiro -----Danilo---Sanches --------------....-Bruno---....... Bernardo------Jota/Silva/Podence------Rafa/Trincão/Félix The forward options in order
I agree with you but the Portuguese soccer federation claimed that Ronaldo is the only player that tested positive so far. It's uncertain as there is no official news about the quarantine of the whole team.
Starting XI: Rui Patrício; João Cancelo, Pepe, Rúben Dias, Guerreiro; William Carvalho, Bruno Fernandes, Danilo; Diogo Jota, João Félix, Bernardo Silva
He must be playing for a draw. Conceicao should be the coach of Portugal or at least be a consultant to Santos.
conceciao is an idiot in the mould of bento who would fight with players and not call them up. Our second best cb of all time was barred by that Neanderthal
I do not mind the Danilo/Carvalho combination even against Sweden to start of with, more attacking player can be subbed in later.
You're not the first to suggest a new manager, but think about the message that would send. Only 3 losses in over 4 years(Chile confederation cup considered a draw) and 2 out of a possible 4 trophies. Sorry, but a put of form B.Silva is still essential, and S.Oliveira isn't even good enough to serve the other players water, let alone start.
France is a hard gane to judge much from, considering their strength, but the Danilo/William double pivot won’t lead to a purely defensive approach as much as many think it will. I remember many, myself included thinking the same thing before the last Nations league final, and it was probably one of our most consistent attacking and free flowing games vs a top team in many years.
Danilo/William know how to play football good at bringing the ball forward quick passing and even can come up with a goal
Joao Felix continues to get minutes over Andre Silva despite being completely ineffective in front of goal. Jorge Mendes got his hands all up in this team.
If he doesn't have a solid game today, he needs to be switched with Andre silva. I don't know if it's the nerves or he feels pressure, but he hasn't had much impact in the games he's played.
Nothing wrong with the defensive double pivot in a 4-2-3-1, especially with the full backs we have. Plenty of opportunity for attacking play.
