2,700 Fans will be traveling to Algarve, the Florida of Portugal, 2,100 tickets were sold to English leaving in Portugal.
close to 5,000, good test for the portuguese security

    – Portugal-Inglaterra esgotado

great job by the British police for stopping the holligans from catching a plane in Birmingham

Figo celebrates 100th cap against England

    Fernando Couto 103 caps

FARO, Portugal, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Luis Figo was presented with an award by the Portuguese Football Federation for winning his 100th cap in Wednesday's friendly international against England.

To on-pitch fireworks and rousing chants of "Figo, Figo" from a crowd of around 30,000 at the Algarve stadium, the Real Madrid forward stepped up to receive his award just before kick-off.

Figo made his full international debut in 1991 against Luxembourg and has scored 30 goals.

He is the second Portuguese player to reach the 100 mark following defender Fernando Couto who earned 102 caps.

Petit was pretty good. Miguel's blunder was terrible , just terrible. Figo was pacey and fine. Portugal put on the pressure and played quite well. Deco played well.

Petit was by far the best portuguese player on the field, Miguel own goal can happen to anybody, he recover the rest of the game, Scolari a ex player understands and will not burn a player for what happen, you also got give credit for the way the England forward come on pushing.

I didnt think that it was a particularily good performance by Portugal last night. England basically had there entire defence out and arguably there most important attacking player, Gerrard.

The Portuguese, whilst having players of unparalled skill in Figo and Costa, still lack organisation, pace and physical strength.
