    Hi Guys

We all know that Portugal has had a very hard time scoring goals from the striker postion in the past it has been a very long time since The Great Eusbeio was scaring defences and goalies to Death. I am have a very good friend of mine whose cousin works for the Portuguse Football Federation cleaning there building so he lets me know alot about Portuguese Youth Football. So here is who Portugal has in the future as far as Strikers is concerned.

    1) Helder Postiga = Tottenham

    2) Arzia Makakula = soon to be with Atletico Madrid

    3) Luis Lourenco = Sporting

    4) Ricardo Vaz Te = Bolton ( Very high on him 6"2 )

    5) Hugo Almeida = Martimo via F.C Porto ( They say he could be like Vieri )

    6) Diego Fonseca = Santa Clara ( Been compared to Nuno Gomes )

    7) Salerio = Sporting ( They say plays like Raul )

    8) Varela = Sporting

    9) Dias Lourenco = F.C Porto

    10) Rui Gomes = Boavisata

    11) Bruno Moriera = F.C Porto

    12) Candieas = ( Very high on him )

    13) Rui Pedro = ( Candieas teammate also very dangerous.)

The Luis Lourenco and Fausto Dias Lourenco are not Brothers. As far as Manuel Courto is concern he is a midfield player. I wonder what has happen to him as he has not been on any National Teams for the whole year.

They have a excellent youth system but they sell there players. Over the Summer they made over 24.5 million euros in selling Ronoldo and Quaresma. In the system right now they have 3 potential stars Salerio and Varla both Strikers but the crown jewel is 14 yr old Fabio Paim a midfielder who is another Ronoldo. Overall as far as the future is cioncerned F.C Porto has the best up and coming talent. Wow wait until the public see what they have. LOOK OUT.

No They have a very loyal fan base. They Draw around 30,000 on Avearge. They grab older players. and they always compete well in Portugal but they do horrible in Europe. When it comes to Portugal it"s Porto and Benfica in the Uefa and Champions League.

Makakula is very good striker, he's like Inter's Adriano! How about Ivanildo? He scores lots of goals in CM~ ;)

Curto is indeed a striker and a promising one at that, he was co-top scorer in the u17 WC and he also was very close to being called up to the senior team, unfortunately he is currently injured. Also you forgot to mention 19 yo Vasco Firmino, another Benfica striker who was called up by Camacho to train with the senior team a few times, he is also on the verge of making the main squad.

if Camacho goes, we need another coach that believes in the youth movement, I hope they keep the assistant's coach Alvaro Magalhaes and the american Gaspar on the team.
