-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chelsea's Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be planning another raid on his home country, with teen starlet Nuno Coelho the object of his desire. Mourinho has overhauled the Chelsea squad since his summer arrival, with Ricardo Carvalho, Paulo Ferreira, Tiago and Nuno Morais being brought in from Portugal. Despite The Blues topping the table and performing superbly in Europe, Mourinho is reported to be looking at options for January - although the possible capture of Nuno Coelho from Sporting Clube da Covilha would appear to be with one eye on the future. Nuno Coelho is rated extremely highly in his native country, with Under-18 coach Carlos Dinis saying the powerful defensive midfielder could soon be pressing for a place in the full Portugal side. The 17-year-old is quoted in the English media as saying he is aware of the interest from Chelsea and that he would love to join the other Portuguese players at Stamford Bridge. However, the youngster has told the press in his native land that he is not looking to move on in the near future despite attracting interest from big guns Benfica, Sporting and Porto. "I am determined to make the grade," he told the Portuguese media. "But I am not going to end my studies early. "I aim to fulfil all my objectives in the future. "I am aware that several clubs have been watching me and that gives me great satisfaction." Chelsea will always have a good chance of landing the top Portuguese talent, but it would appear as if Nuno Coelho will be staying put for the moment. Another player said to be catching Chelsea's eye is Tottenham forward Jermain Defoe, with the cash-rich Blues reported to be prepared to table a huge offer to tempt him away from White Hart Lane.
