That is a curiously high number of wins for the Quakes, there. Did he ref Quakes games exclusively in 2012?
Those "Weekly Updates" should be renamed "Weakly Update" for the paucity of really useful information they provide. Nobody gives a damn about games that happened ten years ago -- we're interested in finding out who's healthy NOW!
Have we ever beaten Portland at their home? I'm racking my brain, and all I remember are losses or ties. Even in 2012, we tied them twice up there...

The Quakes have never beaten Portland in a regular season match in their house. This is why I'm happy with a point from Saturday's game.

Weather looks good for tomorrow. My only fear is that Portland is a wounded animal at this time and we are coming off a win. Big mental game.
I'm guessing the backline will be the same as the red bull game, and that Wondo and QA will be upfront.....have no idea who Dom will start in the midfield. Portland off to a bad start and got beat up on Wednesday. I'm sure the home crowd is going to be pumped up and Portland will try to get off to a fast start. But I'm sensing the Quakes will squeak this one out with Wondo scoring at least one of the goals......and the Timber Hipster Army will go home sad and drown their sorrows in really good local beer...... And I hate watching games that are played on plastic....curious if anyone has tracked the Quakes record when playing on a fake field?
Seattle - good. Portland and Vancouver - bad. In general, without going into the details, my impression is that they don't play well on turf over the years. Obviously, there are a lot of variables (away game, coaches, players) which have changed, but we always seem to play better on grass.
BogusTurf(TM) sucks! It's one of the few things that drives me nuts about the NorthWet. Too damn much plastic grass!! Grrrrr. My co-workers up here say that the ForestKillers looked dead awful on Wednesday. I think we have a good chance to beat them, especially if Godoy can play, but even if he can't. 3-0, goals by Quincy, Wondo, and Adam. Go Quakes!! - Mark
Godoy questionable, guessing he won't play due to Portlandia's crappy playing surface. Nagbe trained with Portland today but Portland said unlikely he would play tomorrow OUT: M Marc Pelosi (chronic tendinitis in left knee 2/19, out 3-4 months) - READ OUT: M Cordell Cato (right hamstring injury) OUT: D Jordan Stewart (right Achilles injury) OUT: F Chad Barrett (right groin injury) OUT: D Clarence Goodson (back tightness) QUESTIONABLE: M Anibal Godoy (knee injury, DNP 4/13) OUT: D Andy Thoma (knee injury 3/10, out 6 weeks) - REPORT OUT: D Liam Ridgewell (hamstring injury 3/11, out 4-6 weeks) - REPORT OUT: M Ben Zemanski (groin injury) - REPORT OUT: M Darlington Nagbe (ankle injury) OUT: M Dairon Asprilla (foot injury) OUT: D Alvas Powell (torn ligament in wrist 4/13, out 6-8 weeks) - REPORT
Four weeks, now? Back tightness as the reasoning makes me wonder if it isn't something considerably more serious. I always fear medical euphemisms. I hope he will be able to play again this season, though there's no rush in getting him back if he's not fully fit. Imperiale is playing pretty well and Bernardez seems to be holding up well considering his willingness to throw his body and head around the way he does. In the NY game, I can't believe he went right back to going head first into challenges just a few minutes after laying on the ground for what looked like a pretty good bump.
