Guys....Woly is in there to get some training and learn from some better players. Let's relax on how many minutes he gets, or whether he gets them at all. There are other strikers- Wolff, etc- who need the time. Woly should have some fun in camp, but let's keep our feet on the ground, okay?
We all know Razov will get like 50 shots and shank every single one. Why not give Woly a chance? I remember when Mathis was starting out with the USMNT and all the ESPN guys could do was complain about him. I'm not saying Woly's the next Clint, but the guy deserves some playing time, especially in a meanlingless full international. The guy can climb the latter a lot better then Razov can and he does have a bit of a speed move to boot!
Is this game actually going to be played as scheduled, what with all the chaos and everything going down in Haiti?
Razov's actually done well in his USMNT games.....6 goals in 22 appearances. His brief experience in Spain I noticed has made him a more polished player and much more mature. I'm Wolyniec's biggest fan, but he's not going to score the same type of goals at the international level. With Razov, a defender has to respect his ability to rip a 35 yard shot.
I think after Pope's problems in Amsterdam that his inclusion in the US squad is a good sign for the USMNT and the Metros. Maybe he just a problem with some dodgy Dutch cuisine.
6 goals in 22 appearances versus whom? The last goal I remember him scoring was versus I believe T&T at home in 2001. It's 2004 and Woly has looked more dangerous in his 6 minutes then Razov did in his 45+.
Any Metro-US fans going to this game? i now live in florida and attend the University of Central florida in orlando and it just so happens this game lies during my spring break so im definitely there and taking a few of my college buddies to see their first US national team game. i'll be with the sammers i guess but i'll be holding up that metro scarf!!!supporting walker, pope and woly!!!
