Let me preface this by saying that I was not at this game and did not see the event... So this is sort of third hand. Although there is some photo documentation on the ibilbo site.

Raleigh PDL vs. Richmond Kickers Futures: Game was on OT tied at 0-0. CR calls a PK and the defender evidently lost his marbles. Shoved the CR and then when his team mates were trying to restrain him he evidently pulled the corner flag out and threw it at the CR. Also witnessed was a shove to one of the AR's as he was leaving the field.

Pretty sad showing. I have not been able to find an account of it in the local paper.

Not sure why this is in the Referee forum. The photos weren't too useful either.

In the past there have been reports of referee assault from adult games or various youth games. I thought this was relevant in this forum to share based on those previous posts.
Sorry if you feel that it belongs in another forum.
There were no clear pictures from andymeads site of the shove but it has been talked about in depth on other message boards.
You can move it or delete it or whatever you feel like doing.

You had the wrong boxscore link. Try this:

    http://www.ibiblio.org/footy/2003/0526_ral_ric_ajm.php

Stange thing is it seems that the referee gave a yellow card (2nd yellow) for violent conduct in the boxscore. I'd asume that this is NOT the official boxscore. Most likely the 2nd yellow was for dissent and the further actions came after the player was sent off.
