Just listened to Handbrake Off podcast and Amy Lawrence (bless her soul) brought up something that she hates when we win at home. I also noted it yesterday, with similar hate.... "Sweet Caroline" Even without the schmaltzy "ah-ah-ah's", because of no fans being present, it's still just a terrible piece of music that I can't stand being associated with the club. Amy said it actually makes her stomach turn. She went on to say that she met the guy who DJ's at the Grove and he basically said "it's not my idea, it was forced on me". Perhaps we should start a Change.org petition to banish that song and go back to the one we used before: "Move On Up". Or at least something better than the current dross. Or maybe there's another UK-oriented way/site of registering the opinion of those who are like-minded? If the #BLM movement can induce the Redskins to change their name, surely we can get Arsenal to find another song! But first a humble BigSoccer poll to test the waters.
Took a clean slate approach to make these suggestions. Won't be surprised if they all got shot down, but a fun topic regardless Limelight - RUSH Glory Days - Bruce Springstein New Sensation - INXS
As a Rush fan since the mid 80's I'll abide anything by the Canadian power trio, though something more uplifting and good for singing along would be more fitting. "Beautiful Day" by U2? "Starlight" by Muse?
I'd take Glory Days, although I'm not sure if it resonates so much with the N5 crowd. There are many reasons I like that song, but one of them is that the video was filmed at Maxwell's, a music bar a few blocks from where I lived at the time in Hoboken.NJ.

Just catching up with my podcasts. And I heard Amy Lawrence vote for Move On Up. Perhaps she saw this thread. . Or she’s just my kindred spirit.
Amy brought us some great news on today's Handbrake Off podcast: Neil Diamond loses and Curtiss Mayfield wins. It's official! (huge sigh of relief) Supposedly there was some Socios vote by fans (backed by tokens?) So now all it takes is Senor Arteta to just figure how we can actually get results, so that we can all enjoy hearing this on repeat...
