    Raul and Ronaldo.

    Anything less would be uncivilized.

ok no way in hell keane nor larsson should be up there. also imo ronaldo and del piero are boarder-line. im not sure about vieri. he is very good but im not feeling him.
sheva should definitely be up there. toss-ups that SHOULD be up there are crespo, owen, trezeguet, and saviola.
henry is definitely the best from your poll and i guess raul.

Henrik Larrsson? Robbie Keane? By those inclusions I can only assume you're taking the piss.

    Become the Tea Pot!!
    You've done this wrong.

You can't lump all those forward players into the catergory of 'strikers'

Raul, Del Piero, Bergkamp are not 'strikers' per se. They are support strikers they don't lead the line they play off of the number 9 in that withdrawn role. to categorize them that way isn't fair.

Also how can you omit Shevchenko !?!?! yet inculde Keane and Larrson.

I'd suggest you re do this before all the haters get on your case.

Have a Support Striker poll seperate to an out0and-out striker poll...very different roles filled by very different players!

i agree. even though i previously mentioned how i would choose kluivert as an attack mid, if there was a "support striker" position poll he, bergkamp, etc would of been a lot higher.

yeah i could have done 2 seperate but... well i didnt - it may have beed good just because theyre are so many i wish i could have put on - ill answer some of the ones 'missing' -

sheva - last cut and it pained me - he is usually a horse, but hes been injured a lot, struggled or just plain not played this year, so...

trezeguet - a perfectly fine player, but i must confess, his world cup non-showing when france really needed him has downgraded him some - lets face it, he was more than unproductive, he was lazy and played as if he would rather be doing something else - hardly the stage to get an F for effort

    owen - 1 word: inconsistancy

ill say again, i didnt totally pick who I rate as the 8 best - i tried to guesstimate who everyone else might want in there also (obviously, a difficult thing to do) - as for larsson: that guy is consistant and prolific on good but not great teams - same could be said on behalf of robbie k for that matter (and they each have gotten some support, so i dont feel bad about choosing them) - i am surprised ADP isnt getting any votes - few have scored more big goals to rescue their teams - and re haters: its not gonna bother me - this is all just for amusement - if someone gets rankled by my choices: im fine with that - everybody has their opinion

for astabo0t: jardel (sporting lisbon for now, probably barca soon - IIRC 2-time euro golden boot), cardozo (from paraguay& toluca - mexican league record setter), s anderson (ex-barca & brazil hero, now with lyon - very classy), koller (ginormous czech & dortmund target man extraordinaire - simply the best air forward in the world... by far), kezman (psv star, very prolific), and abreu (cruz azul & uruguay - very athletic scorer) - try to check these guys out, they are all fantastic

mostly agree with the choices there, but i would have included trezeguet or shevchenko instead of keane. not that it would have made a difference, as i went for henry and raul.

I know it's easy to criticise but...

    Robbie Keane???!?

And no Michael Owen? Last year's European Footballer of the Year?

Not good choices this time IMO.

And despite Owen's inconsistencies he's still one of the leading goal scorers in the Premiership and Europe.

Probably Raul and Ronaldo. I persoanlly think that henry is a better player than Raul butI think the two Rs would be better together.
Amazed that Keane is on (even as a Spurs fan) I'm not sure if he's one of the best 8 in the premiership. Shevchenko should be there as he's probably the 4th best in the world.

how can you not choose Van Nistelroy? he averages about a goal a game and this is his second 20 goal season.

Van Nistelrooy doesn't have the brain of Raul or pace of Ronaldo, or the movement of either. Also he spends most of his time lying on the ground.

I'd like to vote for a partnership of Raul and Niall Quinn.

Fair point. You need a big man to knock the high balls down for the nippy little fella.

How about a new double poll where you vote for best big man and best little man?

    Jan Koller and Michael Owen?

I didn't vote, but Shevchenko and Vieri would be a dream strikeforce.

I understand your point Comme but he produces, which is the most important part for a striker. If he can score 20 goals for me I don't care if he's having a circle jerk at halftime.

I think most of us would agree that Raul is one of those two.
For the second one there are a lot of possible choices. I would not pick Ronaldo. He is world class but there are still better strikers. Same for Shevchenko. Same for Ruud. Same for Trezegol.
Henry would perfectly match with Raul. Raul and Koller would be a dreamteam, too. Or Raul and Vieri.
