But Keane's best years are behind him and he will never again be the dynamic force he used to be.

    Vieira.

    Keane, my arse !!

Since Keane walked out on his team at the World Cup, I have no respect at all for him. I had very little to begin with, mind you, since the Haaland incident, but to walk out on your teammates shows there is only one person Roy thinks about....himself. I wouldn't vote for him to wash my car.

Emre isn't a DMID. CZ is iNter's DMID. Emre is AMID. I'll vote for Emre anyway cause he rocks.

It'd have been Keane for me a year ago but this hip injury has ************ed him up. He's not the player he was and never will be. He's a liability in the United midfield now and would be much better suited to central defence. Afterall United have the outstanding Phil Neville for the Defensive midfield position now. Think I'm kidding? I'm not. I was half joking when I mentioned his name in this thread, I don't think he's the best Dmid in the game but he is an quality player at that position and highly underrated.

    Spot on, sir.

Based on current form there can be no other choice than Patrick Viera.

yeah emre is a stud out there - i put him here because 1) like helguera, JOB or rivaldo, he plays a different position with his national side so i took a bit of leeway, leading to 2) i must confess i placed him here partially because the AM choices are stronger as a group

personally i rate emre and baraja as two of the most underrated players in the world

Edgar Davids is the best defensive midfielder in the world. There is no way Vieira can mark a man like Davids can. He has so much speed and endurance, he could play two games back to back.

davids is certainly the most dynamic of the group and i voted for him but im a little surprised this is turning into a runaway - i figured vieira and keane would keep it close - the winger poll will probably be a lot tighter
