ok its time to vote on the wingbacks - once again please pick TWO players as if you were picking your ultimate starters & once again, i apologize ahead of time for those whose choices might be left off - close calls this time: yakin, zanetti, kaladze, van der heyden, o'brien, panucci, finnan

still a few days left on the center back poll if you havent voted

Maldini and Cafu, probably the two best wing back of all time.

Samuel cos of his shocking omission from the centre back poll. And Cafu cos he's just plane great.

    But where is Bernard?

I'm sure this will seem biased to everyone else but was Stevie Carr left out because this is only on recent form or because you don't think he's good enough?

    Become the Tea Pot!!
Maldini is no longer a wingback.

Gimme Cafu and R Carlos... If we're talking all thru their career's then of course Cafu and Maldini but as of right right now i'll take Carlos and Cafu

I picked Roberto Carlos and Puyol.

I don't think Roberto Carlos is so great as a defender, but what he brings to the fold offensively more than makes up for that.

Picked Puyol only to have him on the team... and then move him to the centre back position where he belongs. :D

Add Carr to the list and then I'll vote.

I agree with your reasoning. Since Carlos and Maldini are both left backs I basically ended up picking Cafu over Maldini as Roberto is better now than Paolo but maybe not over their entire careers.
