Please choose one of the following as to what you would like to see with a restructure for the USL forum. Proposal 1: Minor Leagues > USL > NPSL and others Proposal 2: Minor Leagues > Professional (USL-1 and -2) > Amateur (PDL, NPSL, etc.) Proposal 3: Same as 1, but with "lower leagues" Proposal 4: Same as 2, but with "lower leagues"
Uncalled for This is an awesome idea, Lisa. I voted #2, but would be happy with #4. I certainly think that there should be an "The Amateur Game" Forum with all NPSL teams listed (so that each team would have a subforum), then all PDL teams (ditto) (or vice versa--not trying to be too NPSL biased ). I think the utility of these subforums would be huge. I mean, I can get Juve news at Juve forums, Azzurri news ditto, but NPSL news is almost impossible to find. This could be the one stop NPSL/PDL Forum....which would attract writers, club officials, etc. May I suggest CaliforniaSoccer and cristoforo7 as SacKnights mods? (I would be happy to lend a hand, as well)
Personally I want to see USL separate from anything having to do with NPSL. Call me a purist if you must. You're welcome, but it was Violet Crown's idea. I just made the thread/poll.

I think the term "Minor leagues" would discourage the casual browser, as the while not the top teir, they are not minor in the sense that other sports are (ie afiliated with a "major" team) the title "Lower leagues" or "Other Leagues" might entice people more to find out what that is all about.
Excellent point Mikey and I didn't even think of naming the Forum "other leagues", which would probably been the best idea.

I never thought "Minor League" was the best term for the USL -- mainly because in our sports world in the United States, it implies that the teams in those "minor leagues" are farm teams of the teams in the top flight. Why can't the "USL" just be it's own forum....and maybe have the "NPSL" have THEIR own forum...and maybe "USASA and other amateur leagues" I think that would limit the confusion a bit.
I agree - wholeheartedly!!!!!!!!!!!! Just don't know if that's possible. USL DOES need to have it's own forum - much like MLS does and the other leagues throughout the world. They've been around long enough to merit it. The others can then be the "other leagues". That's my two cents.
Is there a way for the W-League forum to exist under the USL section AND the Women's soccer section? Just a random thought. Seems pretty easy to do.
Yeah. I have been convinced by the discussion on the other thread. Which mutinywxgirl is trying to get merged with this one by a mod that actually has the rights to do that. By that time, the poll had been running for a while, and it was looking like the 'lower leagues' vote was going to win the day so I didn't figure it was worth telling mutinywxgirl to ditch this poll for a better one. But now we've got some idiot skewing the data. My take is -- all of you that still want to legitimately vote do so, and hopefully the mods can sort it out. But I haven't done this before and that's just a guess on my part.
Actually, no more votes necessary - changes have already been made. NPSL is now with College and Amateur, and USL is a stand-alone entity.
