neither side doing anything beyond the midfield. probably only a couple of half chances left each. wouldnt be surprised if one is converted though.
just because of the drama (red cards, missed pk...) it's entertaining but NO quality football i think we have to wait for the "big" teams to see some nice combinations and stuff...
really hope every single game in the tournament would be this exciting came into this as neutral then cheered for poland after i saw them dominate early in the game , then cheered for greece after i saw the unfair double yellow cards and uncalled pk in the first half , after they scored i was relieved thinking 1-1 would be a fair result but really wanted them to win from the pk they got , too bad kara wasted it , they couldve repeated euro 2004
Did they ever say why the roof is closed? According the weather.com it's 73 degrees and cloudy in Warsaw at the moment.
I think we've seen moments of quality football, but only moments. They mainly came from the right side of Poland in the opening 15-20 minutes of the first half. There were some quite good combinations between Piszczek and Blaszczykowski.
hmm... well, the last time a team played Greece in a Euro opener, they didn't win, conceded a penalty, and then went on to reach the final, so Poland played Greece in the opening game.. didn't win, conceded a penalty.. so, does that mean Poland will reach the final?
I'm not that happy. Greece as bad as expected, Poland worse than expected. The entertainment couldn't make up for the serious lack of quality in my eyes.
Complete and utter failure on the Polish side. If you want to learn how to lose games pay close attention to what the Poles are doing. Very unhappy.
Great game. But Greece is really bad mostly when it comes to their offense.... Poland started strong but only for about 10 minutes ^^ I guess both shouldn't be a problem in the quarter finals no matter for whom.
I heard that UEFA decided few days ago that they will close it because of opening ceremony. So it was closed 24 hours before the kick off. How to win against Poland? Just break through their left flank. Don't even bother to try breaking from your left wing. Too one dimensional to succeed I'm afraid...
