    Republic of Ireland under-21 team (v. Poland, April 27th, 2004 - 4-3-3):

Henderson (Aston Villa - on loan to Wycombe Wanderers) - Kelly (Spurs, capt.), McCarthy (Manchester City), Fitzgerald (Blackburn Rovers), Capper (Scarborough) - Potter (Liverpool), Whelan (Manchester City), Thornton (Sunderland) - Flood (Manchester City), Elliott (Manchester City), Doyle (Cork City).

Kickoff is at 3:30 Irish Time, 12:00NST.

    I think that's a pretty good side.

Match is underway, but RTE aren't posting the score. We'll assume it's 0-0 for the moment.

As soon as I know anything, I'll post it here.

2-0, looks like the U-21's unbeaten run is coming to an end.

You could well be right there. It's another impressive batch of underage players coming through. There must be a great confidence in that side now after such a good recent run, certainly coming back from 2 down in Poland would indicate that. No matter what you think of the manager, and to be honest I wouldn't be his biggest supporter, you can't help but be impressed by the U-21's results of late. It's just a pity they had a poor start to the Euro qualifiers.
