you know... im beginnning to think.... lets just finish 5th from last... so frustrating... did the money show up?
We weren't any good at all today, based on that performance we'll be going down again this season. We offered nothing going forward, we didn't have a shot on target all game and Timar was a greater attacking threat than Fallon and Patterson combined when he was brought on. The only positive frmo today was our fans, the support was truly excellent today, we deserve better than this. At least it does now look as though this won't be our last game, we may still not make it to the end of the season but at least we won't end on such a low, not that that would be much consolation if the worst does happen.
I very much doubt it. There was a little bit of good news, there are supposedly 5 groups sniffing around about purchasing the club, supposedly 1 pound will get the club and the debt, these groups are probably waiting to see if the club goes into administration and then the debt can be bought for a lot less.
So administration starts to set in, 16 staff let go today and the club's store in the Drake Circus shopping mall was closed. March 17th seems to be the next deadline. Argyle home to Swindon tuesday massive game, as Swindon is only 3 points ahead of Argyle, it is possible that Argyle could move up to 21st tomorrow from 24th.
Argyle win again 1-0 off the bottom league table http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/tables/cc_league1.html
OG!!! 3 wins in a row??? wow.... we are playing well.. hopefully the prospective buyer sees the fight in this team... we are off the bottom.. 4 points from safety
Argyle lose 2-0 and drop to bottom again, luckily only one team in bottom 10 won so still very close, but we have to win on tuesday against Carlisle, a team that got beat 6-0 today.
well, they obviously can give up goals.. all we need to do is score one and keep a clean sheet... i would take 12 points from 15.... will the great escape continue... OG... any word on new owners?
Today(monday) was the deadline given by the admininstrator to put in bids, i believe 4 groups were suppose to submit with the administrator selecting the preferred bidder by wednesday or thursday. This means that the preferred bidder has to start paying all the bills including the administrators, while the negotiations go on re the sale of the club, it could be after the season is over before we have new owners.
Argyle drew 1-1 tonight at Carlisle, Bolasie with the equaliser in the 84th min. Argyle were on top in first half but went in at HT 1-0 down, in 2nd half Carlisle were on top yet Argyle got the equaliser. With this result Argyle moved off the bottom and are now 22nd, unfortunately Argyle were the only team to play tonight out of the bottom 7 teams. Next game is home to Rochdale on saturday and then no game for 2 weeks as the next game against Southampton has been postponed as Argyle have 3 players playing in international games.
Does'nt look good Argyle lost at home 1-0 to Rochdale, and are back to the bottom of the league, also of the 6 teams above Argyle, 5 won and the other drew. 16 Sheff Wed 36 -4 43 17 Notts County 34 -3 42 18 Tranmere 36 -8 42 19 Yeovil 36 -17 41 20 Dag & Red 34 -9 39 21 Walsall 38 -16 39 22 Bristol R 37 -31 36 23 Swindon 37 -17 34 24 Plymouth 38 -18 33
