    Hi,

I am a primary school teacher in Scotland and I have been shortlisted for primary school teacher of the year due to my work establishing and developing youth football, primarily girls football.

No girls school football existed a couple of years ago and through work with the community we have been able to help make it grow at a massive rate. We had 500 girls taking part this year in school football tournaments which was unheard of a couple of years ago.

The other candidates have had groups promoting them but there isn't a big women's football community in Scotland to have share it. It was suggested to me to visit this website and try and get support from likeminded people who want to promote the womens game. The more publicity for the girls game here the better to help make it grow further.

Anyway you can view the online supplement at the following link: My category is on page 10.

And you can vote online for Iain Maciver at:

Any help would be very much appreciated. I wasn't sure what section would be best to post it in but this one seemed relevant.

    Thank you

Little bump. 3 weeks left until the voting closes and no idea how well I'm doing. A girl's football page on Facebook is going to run a story which should help a bit. Problem is that quite a few people in the game here still look down on girl's football in that they shouldn't be playing it.
