Sorry for the delay. First or 2 with Dallas and looks like Alonso is out again and possibly Evans. Guess it wouldn't be playoffs without Zack Scott playing a big part.

Wooo!!! Seahawks squeaked past the Cowboys, now it is the Sounders turn to get the win! (Well, go into the away leg with a lead)

Well, at least they have to beat us to advance, but truth be told, most of this game left me worried.

I really, really, really hope Ozzie is back next weekend... Evans would be a huge help, but that giant hole in the center of the field is what is going to kill us.

Poor Zack. He was getting blitzed all night. Surprised he was able to walk off the field on his own power. Its a young man's game Mr. Scott, but you held on.., barely.

An observation from someone with no dog in that particular fight...

Seattle supporters, thanks for not being dickheads during the national anthem.

    Portland supporters? Up yours.

Worth noting that our summer acquisitions have all came up big in the end of the season and playoffs. Nice to see our attack a little more diversified, especially since Oba and Clint haven't been hooking up like before.

    Random thoughts.
    • Oba has seemed a little off the past couple of games. Not his typical Oba self...Giveaway passes, dispossessed. I loved that one shot though where he chested it down, turned and ripped it from distance, leading to a corner.
    • Yes, there is an Alonso sized hole in heart of this team. I thought Rose looked lost out there.
    • Yes Zach looked slow... but so did every other Sounder. Even Fisher could not keep up.
    • Valdez is like Batman... seemingly has the skills and tools to do just about anything: Hold up play, distribution, shooting, defense - I have never seen an offensive player so aggressive on defense. Vicious. Too bad he cannot put in a full 90. Would have loved to have seen him a couple years younger in Rave Green.
    • Andreas seems to be settling in nicely. He was the only Sounder that I can remember beating any Dallas players with pace... and oh, that left footed shot. It was like he scored that one out of spite for the LA goal being called back. Attack of the Left Foot II - the sequel.

    - Andreas put in a really good game. He was smart on the ball. Made good passes all night long. Had tons of energy and showed that he cared about every little play. Easily my MOTM offensively, and the kind of stuff that a fan favorite is made of.

    - Defensively, it was Chad Marshall hands down. With Dallas blasing on both wings, #14 had to cover on so many occasions. It was kind of funny to see Chad isolated out on the wing and towering over Michael Barrios.

    - This series is wide open. I just can't see us with a SO in Dallas. We need to play to score.

Andreas Ivanschitz is the man. Quickly becoming my favorite player on this team behind Alonso. I hope we get Evans back. Our defense and more specifically Scott just got torched by Castillo. Everytime Castillo got the ball one v one with someone it was just like o sh*t. Our defense just needs to play out of its mind and keep Castillo from getting behind them in the second leg.
