Just received in the mail two forms from the Revs for Centre Circle members (Season Ticket Holders).

First one, (yellow), is for playoff tickets only. There is a maximum of four tickets per holder. Its confusing--it looks like they are only selling tickets in packs of four. It also appears that you have to purchase for the potential four home playoff games as well--the discount is not offered on a game by game basis.
    Category I $30/ticket/per game
    Category II $20/ticket/per game
    Category III $15/ticket/per game

Game by game tickets are $35, $25, and $20 respectively. You have until 24 hours prior to the first game to fax or hand deliver your order.

(At least for me, a category III ticket holder, that's a 50% increase for a team with a losing record. Game by game is doubling the price. There was also no mention of any parking discount.)

The second form, (pink), is an effort to get us to buy season tickets now. There will be, according to this, 20 games next year (we had only 16 games this year), "including international club and national team blockbusters!" If you renew now, you purchase for next season and the first game of the playoffs at the discounted price above. As the Revs advance, you are automatically charged for each subsequent game. However, the amount you spend on the first game of the playoffs will be credited towards next year's tickets. Thus in practice, you are going to the first game for free. The prices for next year are as follows:

    Category I $440 at $22/game
    Category II $340 at $17/game
    Category III $240 at $12/game

Do you think they would get away with these increases if the Revs had gone 4-0-1 to start the season and had recently struggled to 35 points (similar to the way the Metrostars have?) I don't think they raise either playoff tickets or next year's tickets if they had sucked the last five weeks or so!

Thanks for the info too...I sent Craig T a note half an hour ago asking what the deal was. With a game potentially as early as Thursday..this could happen fast.

Also, the increase in season ticket prices is only $2 a game...I bet the Patriots season ticket holders would have died for that kind of increase when they came into the new stadium!! I would have to say the product is finally winning and so yes, the price does go up (marginally) fine.

I got an email this morning from my ticket rep that stated the following:

"If you did not receive the Center Circle playoff package options at tonights
game, please call or e-mail me asap."

Anyone get the packge at the game last night? How did I miss that? I entered the stadium via an entrance other than the Center Circle Entrance so that could be how I missed it, which brings me to the this:

I am a season ticket holder who bought extra seats for yesterday's game in an effort to help sell the game out. I didn't even use all the tickets, but I figure who cares, it was for a good cause. I go to enter the stadium at the Center Circle gate, and they tell me my brother has to go wait in the long line for general admittance since he is not a member. I say "Can't he just come in here with me, I got my Center Circle badge here, its just 1 person I want to get in here". Nope. There was absolutely no line there either, the yellow coats are just standing around doing nothing, and we have to go wait in a line that has stretched into the parking lot. Then as an extra kick in the groin, after waiting in line 5 minutes we are told via mega-phone that the gate is being closed so we must go get in line at the West Entrance (and wouldnt you know it, the gate was still open 30 mins later when we walked by). Finally, 20 unneccesary minutes later we were in. I was a bit pissed.

I don't think they actually increased the staff for today's game, knowing that it was supposed to be a sellout. The ticket office had a lot more windows open than the last game i came to, so I wonder if those extra staffers came from the entrance gates. Either way, what an incredible game! I was praying for a goal on our side (Sec. 121), but 3 goals on the other side works for me!

    1. we're nearly sure that man u will be here next year.

    2. either tomorrow or tuesday, fifa will select the host country for the 2003 confederation's cup....which could be a possibility:
Five countries are confirmed for the eight-team 2003 Confederations Cup - Japan, Cameroon, Colombia, the US and France - with Brazil participating as the current World Cup champion. Oceania's representative will be decided at the Oceania Football Confederation Nations Cup that starts on Friday, with the host to also qualify. (this was suprisingly New Zealand i believe)

no one would let on over there if we we're in the running for matches if the u.s. got it. but, i'd imagine it would be a lock.

    3. there is another tourney i'm thinking we're getting consideration for....is it the sorta' newly formatted concacaf/conmebol tourney? not the gold cup...but something meant to mimick euro championships. huh, i'll do a little more research.

    4. they are charging for 4 extra games thinking they'll get something together.....and if they don't, they'll do what they've done b/f and make us use them for open cup, playoffs, or lame intl's like the netherland antilles v. newcastle's u-17 squad

lastly, i haven't received my stuff yet. but, is anyone seriously considering reupping right now for next year w/o even knowing the benefits? or, even if they intend to deliver on the few benefits that they do provide [unlike this year...with the center circle gates as a prime example. oh, and our own ticket rep for the entire season]

I don't even know who my rep is. It was Mike Ryan when I got my first season tickets. No clue now. Quite disappointed that I was never contacted. I've even sent emails to the centercircle@revolutionsoccer.net email.

Got my info on playoff tix/early renewal before the match. My question is : will we all have to go to will call to pick up tickets seeing as we are playing in a few days? I can't imagine they are going to overnight all playoff tickets.

The REAL question is, HOW LONG WILL WE HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE FOR 2 PEOPLE TO PROCESS 15,000 FANS?!

After saturday, it seems we will need to get there by 4:00 PM to be sure we'll get into the game before kickoff. Since they are charging us extra to get in can they give us some sort of guarantee that we'll actually get into the game before it is half over (assume one shows up at 6:45 - it is a work night after all)? Or maybe the krafties think we should all skip a days pay too.

Just spoke to ticket office. If you order your playoff package today, they will priority mail the tickets out this afternoon. So, you can avoid one line, the will call line. Bring bolt cutters and hack saws if you want to get through the gate line in a timely fashion.

Season ticket renewal form says if you have "price-lock" for season tickets you will be charged/credited accordingly. "Price-lock" was given for tickets in the new stadium and you get it for a specified amount of time based on how many years you were a season ticket holder in the old stadium. I believe. I'd have to go look it up.

    Getting nervous

Has everyone but me gotten a mailing about the playoffs? Has anyone else had email to centercircle@revolution.net returned as undeliverable? Who should I talk to now that they have killed Darius?

    No mailing, but no problem.

I hadn't gotten a mailing as of Saturday, but I just called up and talked to Mike Dressler, who dealt with my renewal and playoff tickets in about as long as it took me to spell my last name and read him my credit-card number.

Will-call lines will be another matter. Go get your tickets, then go back to the car and eat...

try centercircle@revolutionsoccer.net that is the right email address I beleive. If that doesn't work, you might want to try calling, who knows, you might actually get one of the few people still working there.

I tried to decipher this. I'm not sure what language this is. I know Engish and I'm familiar with Spanish, but this is neither.

Real classy there, Los Piranas. Hope you're real proud of your actions. I wish I could boast that I mouthed off and trashed a stadium, but I just can't stoop that low....

    Re: Re: Getting nervous

That's the address. In pre-season, Ragnhild Connell (Customer Relations) emailed me back in response to an email I sent to that address. Last week I tried the address and never heard back.

Tried calling today, but couldn't get through to a rep. Left a message. They must be swamped, but I sure hope I get a response soon.

look...they fired eric slack who WAS centercircle@revolutionsoccer.net i believe. the center circle area obviously hasn't been updated since the 8/13 match v crew....well, until today.... i think they've got the company that does the pats site doing spot revs updates...but don't expect them to answer anything.

you have to call. and call back often. i believe all currrent employees (craig, mike, rui, and kevin...others?) are answering the phones. do not leave a message...just keep calling and you'll get a human someday. maybe.

That's right, you do finally get a person. I tried and tried and finally got Mike, who sounded absolutely exhausted. But I got through and got the tickets. He says there will be lots of staffing at Will Call on Thursday.

I'm aware that Eric is no longer there. As I said above, Ragnhild Connell emailed me back once when I sent an email to that address. (She's no longer listed on the Front Office page of the website, maybe she left.)

It's easy to assign a generic email account's email to another staffer's inbox. Hence the reason I was hopeful it had been done.

Again, as I said, I have called. Repeatedly in the last week. I can't be attached to the phone 24-7. I do have a job. I left a message and I faxed my information. I would just like to hear from someone since I was never told who my account rep was when Mike Ryan left (and he was not one of the recent layoffs). Common courtesy and customer service is all I'm looking for. I understand how swamped they are, we're understaffed at my job as well and it can't be easy with a playoff match only hours away.
